Reaching the peak of a scenic 5,000 m mountain (even at the age of almost 80) - Despite our late departure and despite my age of almost 80 years I reached the summit of a beautiful 5,000 m mountain - a great achievement. Thanks to the guide (and driver) for the excellent support.

Worth it - The tour started right on time, and we were picked up promptly. It was a small group—only five of us—which made the experience much more personal and comfortable. Our tour guide, Jon, was amazing. He was extremely knowledgeable, respectful, and, most importantly, genuinely kind and supportive. He stayed with us the entire time, helped us navigate the climb, and made sure everyone felt safe and encouraged. Even at high altitude, he never left our side—he motivated us, paced with us, and made sure we reached the top and came back down safely. He was truly the best tour guide we’ve had on this whole trip. The lunch provided was delicious and much better than we expected after such a challenging hike. The entire day felt well organized and stress-free. We were also dropped off in a timely manner, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Overall, a wonderful experience and highly recommended—especially with Jon as your guide.

Perfect Private Experience & Truly Worth Waking Up Early For - Tour by Guide Elisvan drivers Yober and Ruben, This tour was incredible from start to finish. Our guide and driver from Peru Private Tours made the entire experience smooth, safe, and unforgettable. The 8 AM private departure was absolutely the right choice — we really did avoid the crowds, which made the views and photos so much more special. The guide was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and attentive to our family’s pace. They made sure we were comfortable the entire time, provided helpful tips for the altitude, and shared a lot of history and local insight that made the hike even more meaningful. The scenery was breathtaking in every direction. Having a private guide allowed us to stop whenever we wanted, take our time, and enjoy the mountain without feeling rushed. Transportation was clean and comfortable, and the overall service felt very professional. If you’re visiting Cusco, this is a must-do experience — and booking it privately is worth every penny. Rainbow mountain - Ronaldo was amazing. We were lucky with great weather. I opted for the horse on the way up but trekked back down. I am experienced but I preferred a more relaxed adventure.

What an experience! - After a full day Machu Picchu tour I was glad this was offered with a later morning start. Pre tour communication was great making the pick up smooth at my hotel. Driver was a pro and the guide was friendly and knowledgeable. This hike is hard…very hard due to the altitude but worth it once you get to the top! Book this and you won’t be disappointed. Pro tip to reduce the difficulty level: pay a little extra to have a guide take you up on a horse. This will leave you energy to make the last part of the hike to the top. I really wish I had done that!

Great experience - Our host of the day, Ronald, was very enthusiastic. Has a lot of knowledge and is very involved in everything. He gave the day everything we wanted. Ronald is nice, gives help where necessary, turns out to be a fantastic photographer. Highly recommended!!

Amazing day trip to watch the Rainbow Mountains together with Ronald - It was a amazing experience the tour guide Ronald was amazing and was helping us on every step of the tour. With the alltidud it was not a problem as well.

Good Tour - We had a tour in November 2025 with the guide Elisvan. We have booked the tour directly with the company via their website and discussed all the details in WhatApp. The booking process went fast and easy. The company was replying promptly. In general we liked the tour. The organization was good, on-time, with additional welcome packages. During the drive there were several cultural moments shared by the guide. Both Elisvan and driver were fun young guys and it was interesting to learn from them on young generation in Cusco. But there were a couple of moments, which we want to mention on guides and drivers behaviour and believe require company's attention: 1. On the way to the Rainbow mountain, we have stopped in the restaurant to order the food for lunch after the mountain. It took us 5 minutes max to go to the bathroom and order the food. Then we saw that the driver and guide are having breakfast. We were absolutely fine with making a 30-minute stop and also have tea meanwhile, but it would be good if they will let us know upfront that they want to have breakfast (none of course should be hungry when working). 2. As I have climbing experience over 5 km, I took a very slow pace on purpose to avoid the possibility of getting a headache at the top. It did not look like the guide appreciated my pace as he was always walking 50 meters in front of us :) It was funny as it was only 2 of us (me and my boyfriend) in the group. 3. Driver was speeding up on some parts of the road, as I know that is not allowed for touristic cars in Peru (the limitation of 90 km/hour). Both guide and driver are in their 20's and though being very nice, cheerful and friendly they slightly lacked some professionalism, which can come though the years of experience.
