Refreshing River Experience - We absolutely loved the underground river tour after a hot week in Cancun! I would recommend booking directly with Rio Secreto because they will pickup from any hotel whereas Viator only provided two pickup location options. We added Tulum to our trip. It's very picturesque next to the ocean. I wish Tulum was toured in the morning with the refreshing River afterwards. By the time we got there in the afternoon it was blistering hot and we didn't want to explore the small site much. Our guide Diego was awesome!

Unlike anywhere else - You are walking, wading, and swimming through a cave, with your helmet flashlight as the only light; the guide and the photographer help to capture the memorable experience. Water is pleasantly cool; all surfaces are limestone so you have to walk and duck carefully to avoid hard collisions. It would be like if Howe Caverns or another US cave system was partially filled with water and not lit but left to be experienced in mostly darkness. There are five routes of the guided tours so could be repeated. They allow small children but water depth and darkness might scare them even in life jackets. The walking stick they offer should be used by more people.

Great experience! - This is a must if you are in the area! The tour guide was Jesus, very nice and knowledgeable, the rio secreto which is a cenote is absolutely beautiful! The way that this place set up the experience is very organized you only need to wear your bathing suit, they provide the rest including a wet suit if you are like me and don’t like cold water! At the end they give you lunch which was very good with some options to choose from.

Amazing Adventure with Tomás - We had an amazing time with our tour guide Tomás. He was very informative. I am not a very good swimmer but he reassured me that I would be safe. He made my whole experience very rememberable and put my mind at ease. I would 110% recommend him as your tour guide.

Very wonderful excursion to take while staying at Hard Rock Riviera Maya - This is my second visit to Rio Secreto Cenote. My family was staying at Hard Rock riviera Maya. The excursion was well organized. Our guide was Danny, he was very good and my grandchildren loved the scientific explorations during the excursion. They had fun swimming through the underground pools in the Cenote. You did have to buy their photos if you wanted keepsakes of the experience but it was worth it.

Photo Scam - Experience was great but they scam you with photos at the end. First you're not allowed to take your phone or camera. They tell you they have an 'expert' photographer taking pictures of the experience. This expert is using regular camera with stock lense. In the end of the excursion they try to charge you 30$ for one picture! Or 120$ for the whole set which is about 75 pics out of which only about 5 were good. My wife and daughter post lots of pics on social media and I like to show off pics to guests on my TV. Unfortunately we won't have any pics to share or remember this experience.

NOT GOOD FOR KIDS - This was a miserable experience for my 7-year-old. The water was way too cold for him, but there was no way to turn back once we got to the cave. So he had to spend more than an hour shivering and crying while swimming around sharp rocks in a dark cave. And after it was over, our guide got mad at us when we skipped the overly air-conditioned photo-viewing room and went straight to the warmer eating area (food was lousy). He learned the phrase "stink-eye" after seeing how the guide looked at our group. I know we were a difficult bunch, but one would hope they would make allowances for a seven-year-old boy. No such luck. DO NOT RECOMMEND!
