Perfecto! - I spent an absolutely amazing day at Holbox thanks to our guide, Roald! He is passionate, very professional and knows the area perfectly. Thanks to his clear explanations and enthusiasm, the tour was both informative and very fun. Roald made sure everyone was comfortable and took the time to answer all our questions. I highly recommend this tour with him if you want to discover Holbox in the best way possible! Many thanks to Roald for this unforgettable experience.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 A Perfect Slice of Paradise – Holbox Adventu with Caribe - If you’re hesitating about booking this tour – don’t. Just pack your swimsuit, sunscreen, and sense of adventure, because Holbox will steal your heart (and maybe your shoes if you’re not careful on the sandbanks!).
We were picked up sharp at 7:00 am by our driver Angel and greeted by our guide Roald – a walking encyclopedia of all things Yucatán, delivered with just the right blend of knowledge and humor. After collecting a few more fellow adventurers, we made our first official stop at a small hotel where coffee, cakes, and the last “civilized” bathroom awaited. Sunscreen on, swimsuits ready – this was where the fun truly began.
From there, our captain Gabriel whisked us away by boat from Chiquilá. The boat had some shade but trust me, a hat is your friend. Our first stop was Isla de la Pasión, where we climbed a viewing tower for breathtaking 360° views of the lagoon. Birds, mangroves, and nature at its finest – it felt like a scene from a National Geographic special.
Then came the highlight: a half-kilometer sandbank that seemed to stretch out into infinity. Walking barefoot across warm, shallow waters with wild flamingos nearby was surreal – like stepping into a dream.
Once we reached Holbox itself, we were greeted by the colorful “HOLBOX” sign (yes, it’s mandatory to take at least ten photos here). We wandered through the town, sampling the famous black coconut-vanilla-honey ice cream – the color comes from activated charcoal, and it’s as delicious as it is Instagram-worthy.
Lunch was served buffet-style at a local hotel, with plenty of options, soft drinks, and even coffee for a post-feast pick-me-up. Afterward, we had about an hour and a half of free time – some lounged by the pool, others (like me) couldn’t resist heading back into the turquoise ocean for another swim.
The final leg of the tour was a ride in quirky golf carts through Holbox’s sandy streets. Be prepared: the “roads” are really more like adventurous dirt tracks, complete with bumps and construction, so hold on to your hats (and your dentures if you have them!).
Final thoughts: This was one of the best excursions we’ve done in Mexico. It’s a full day, it’s packed with variety, and it leaves you with that perfect mix of relaxation, adventure, and unforgettable memories. Roal, Angel, and Gabriel made the day seamless, safe, and fun.
If you love wildlife, beaches that look like they belong in a movie, and the chance to taste ice cream you’ll never find back home – this trip is an absolute must.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Without hesitation – would do it all over again tomorrow.

Excellent - We went through the hotel and had a fabulous experience thanks in large part to our Francophone guide Jonathan who was very kind and who in addition to his good humor allowed us to learn several historical and funny anecdotes.
In short the tour of this magnificent island was great between the boat the paradisiacal landscapes and the flora! Thanks again to Jonathan for his professionalism and kindness that made us spend a wonderful day that we will not forget!

Holbox majestueux - Superb Day, perfectly organized and grounded. The destination is a piece of paradise... simply beautiful. The Roald guide knows the place at his fingertips and is super professional and friendly. Accompanied by photographer Joël who takes incredible pictures where we could not have done it with our smartphone... a big thank you to them.

Holbox fantastic, transport to and from not so fantastic. - Holbox, the beach club and the golf buggy drive was great. The transport to and from the resort however was really poor. The minivan was massively cramped we were squeezed into what was nothing more than a modified parcel shelf with about 6 inches of space with no way to get you legs in. Absolute joke. For a 2 hour journey this was just not acceptable. The driver did his best to get there quickly but unfortunately got pulled over for speeding . The final problem was that the boat engine broke down on the way back and they had to send a rescue boat out for us. After that it was crammed back onto the parcel shelf in the minivan for another 2 hour journey back. Shame as this spoiled what was otherwise a really great day out.
