Unique experience! - It was really well organized. Should have seen everyone once in their lives. Were picked up at 04:00 so you have the best experience (due to the moon phase).

Amazing must see experience - This was such a magical experience. So happy we booked this tour. Alex and Alain were great hosts/guides and gave us amazing information to explain this phenomenon. Would highly recommend taking this if you are visiting Holbox.

Incredibly rewarding and highly recommended - Wading out waist high into the bay and lighting up the bioluminescent plankton was incredible. Alan did a great job explaining the phenomenon. This experience was much better than my kayaking out in the bioluminescent bay in Vieques, PR. Apparently the summer is peak time here but we had plenty of bioluminescence in December just shaking our hands in the water. Overall very professional and informative. Highly recommend it if you’re in Holbox.

Do not miss this magical experience - This tour is the perfect blend of magic and science. We were blessed with the perfect conditions, it was warm, still and clear, meaning we had an amazing astronomical lecture up on Alejandros rooftop before going to the lagoon. I won't spoil the surprise, but the 'Victoria's Secret' experiment blew us all away! A sky full of stars and a pool full of them too. There aren't many places in the world you can do this, so don't miss out while you are in Holbox!

Amazing experience! Must go - Our adventure to see the bioluminescence in Holbox, Mexico was wonderful! Our guide, Alan first showed us the beautiful stars and constellations above us. We learned all about the stars and the stories about the constellations. It was a once in a lifetime experience, because my family traveled from a city with many lights, we had never experienced the bright stars glowing in the sky. And it wasn't only stars we saw, Alan pointed out Jupiter and Venus. When we were done looking up at the mesmerizing sky above us we went back down the steps and took a 5-10 minute walk to the lagoon in Punta Coco. Alan lead us into the water together, motioned us to form a circle, told us to wave our hands around in the water, and all of our mouths dropped. While we were waving our hands around in the water we saw tiny green plankton moving with us too. Alan gave us a t-shirt to collect the plankton from the water and get a better look at them.

Amazing experience of nature - Excellent tour I recommend it widely is the best I have ever lived and they have enough equipment for your safety the person who gives the tour has enough knowledge and is very nice tells you anecdotes or stories related to the activity I recommend it super widely I have taken it with other companies and the truth does not give you as much equipment for your protection as this company

Go there yourself - Quite ok but not worth money, go there yourself without excursion. The road there is absolutely a bit bumpy (water on the roads). But it is not far and a small adventure in itself.

Not where you should go to see bioluminescence - I am very intrigued at the rave reviews and I find myself questioning the authenticity of the reviewers here. While I love Holbox and while our guide was super nice and very helpful - the bioluminescence was a complete joke and in a shallow, crowded, muddy and very murky lagoon! After it was over, we felt like we were hoodwinked. Here's what I have to compare to: I have witnessed bioluminescence several times in the northwest and in Puget Sound and it is an amazing thing to experience. The water visibility and clarity are an essential aspect of the experience and that was completely missing here. When we visited holbox and booked this, we were excited and the lead up to it; from putting on out wetsuits, to the fun ride through town in the ATV totally added the experience. On our way to the lagoon, we felt like true adventurers; riding across the island at night and all geared up... However when we arrived at the location, we were the only ones in wetsuits and in the in the end, the wetsuits were a wasted effort because we walked in to muddy looking water about waste deep and waved our hands in the water to see a little bioluminesense but again the water was so murky and the glow was minimal... So all in all a not cheap experience with so much hipe for such a disappointing experience. Don't put on a wet suit for this one, there is truly no point in wearing one. You don;t want to swim around in this lagoon.
