Our tour guide Erick was... - Our tour guide Erick was amazing! He had so much information and even taught us Mayan mathematics at the ruins. The stop at the beach was also pleasant, not too crowded and just enough time to relax for a bit.

Mayan tour - Would have enjoyed a little more time at the Mayan ruins. The guide was wonderful but too short of a time there.

Alan was our guide and he... - Alan was our guide and he was wonderful. He educated us on the area and the proper names of where we were. He told us a lot about the culture and history of the places we were driving through and visiting. It was a really pleasant day and a great trip. We didn't get to see the cenotes because the weather was bad on the water but otherwise, the small beach area we visited was nice and the included food and drinks were great.

Ruins and Lagoon Trip Great!! - We had a great time, the visit to the ruins was great as expected, and Lorenzo, our guide, and Pedro, our driver, did a great job the whole trip. There is alot of time on the bus, but there is travel time to the sites and the lagoon. we had plenty of time to visit and explore and take pictures at the sites and plenty of time to eat, drink and kayak/swim at the lagoon. they did have to take us to a different part of the lagoon due to recent storms, but that was fine. everything was good, plenty of time to Kayak, never felt rushed, everyone had a great time.

Meeting Location Not Easy to Find. - We had a difficult time finding the meeting location. The map provided showed the location on the pier. They were not on the pier. We had to walk through a maze of shops, find someone who spoke English to help us. We were late but there was a van waiting for us. The tour was very good. Joel our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable on the ruins. We saw several monkeys in the trees - an added bonus. Our lunch was not so good; taco's were bland. We were told to be careful swimming in the lagoon. There were catfish and alligators. We didn't go in the water. I would suggest you take their tour but skip the lunch!

The tour and guides were... - The tour and guides were great. It rained so some things were not available. The only negative was that it was very difficult to find the meeting place for the tour. It would be helpful to have signs with arrows and to be consistent with the tour company’s name.

It was a fun excursion... - It was a fun excursion and easy to find the meet up point once we figured out how to leave the cruise port. I loved the cultural aspect and learned a lot. The van and our driver were good. It felt pretty expensive for what we got, though. I wish there was more. The ruins were cool and we could take pictures for free. The food was good but the drinks weren’t. Kayaking was great but the beach was rocky. We had to go to a different spot on the lake than normal bc of the time of year. It was still nice though! We wouldn’t do it again but we enjoyed it. Tour guide was awesome

Expensive but interesting. - Pick-up time would have been useful rather than "one hour after ship docks". Good air-con vehicle knowledgeable tour guide, very good, interesting site tour of the ruins however may not be good for children I believe they would be bored very quickly. Lagoon disappointing not the emerald water but a black rough stoned lake, still we were able to swim in it but with care. Lunch some tacos and a couple of drinks absolutely fine. Interesting road trip there and back. Good comfort breaks en route. Expensive for what it was had good excursions in other destinations for much less.

Not up to description. - It started late, and we were behind schedule. It was raining and the driver drove way too fast, passed on double yellows, etc- scary. The whole event was rushed, including the swimming in the lagoon and the tour of the lagoon. There was no lunch served as described. Not worth the cost or time away from the cruise ship.

Didn’t get what we reserved so cannot rate tour, only our experience - Didn’t get tour we reserved. We arrived at 1:10, less than one hour after ship arrived. The tour docs said we would depart 1 hour after arrival. We were told a bus already left and we could only get to the ruins, but that we would get a partial refund for the change. We then sat and waited on a large partially air-conditioned tour bus for 20 minutes and decided to cancel. We signed up for a smaller tour experience and really wanted to see the lagoon, but we were told that wasn’t an option with the roads under construction and time constraints. Maria in the native Booth said she would give us a full refund. We have not yet seen a credit come through.
