Perfect gota! - Before booking with XCARET I looked into several tours of the area, in the end it turned out to be the most complete and the cheapest. We left in 4, two adults and our children aged 8 and 5, we chose the classic tour and it was perfect. Pick up took place at our hotel at the time established during the booking, we had half an hour to visit Valladolid independently, we then continued to chichen itza where Gabriel, the driver, gave us reusable bottles with fresh water, super appreciated given the heat. We did a tour of about 1h with our guide Margarita, super precise and kind, who explained everything about the archaeological site and Mayan culture with extreme passion. Then we had 1h to turn independently and finally we went to lunch at the cenote, lunch at the buffet very large and tasty, the bath in the cenote something fantastic! Long and tiring day, but I would absolutely do it again, one of the few REALLY all inclusive tours: return transport from the hotel, entrance to the archaeological site of chichen itza, entrance to the cenote and lunch buffet, life jacket... all really included! I recommend light clothing because really warm, hat, sunscreen and maybe even an umbrella, costume and towel for the cenote and some cash for souvenirs. Valladolid and chichen itza have practically the same prices for souvenirs, but inside chichen itza you will have much more choice. Last but not least, MARGARITA AND GABRIEL super nice, punctual, professional and nice!

Chichen Itza Guided Tour - Guided by Cristano, driver Miguel. Both are great assets. Good service was provided, informative, humorous, and most of all professional. Great experience.

It’s a Long Way from Xcaret to Chichén Itzá - Our group of five really enjoyed the Xichen by Xcaret Chichén Itzá Deluxe Tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable, and kept us entertained and engaged on the long drive. (I wish I remembered his name, because he really was fantastic!) Our first stop was a cenote, which was beautiful, though a bit crowded. Our second stop was Chichén Itzá itself. Unfortunately, the bus was divided into two groups when we arrived — the Spanish speakers went with the regular guide, and the English speakers were left with a contractor who did not use a headset and was therefore very hard to hear. Fortunately, we still learned enough to be able to appreciate the historical and cultural significance of the site, and we loved having over an hour of free time to explore it. Our third and final stop was Valladolid, where we were treated to an excellent buffet lunch. I would absolutely recommend a visit to Chichén Itzá for anyone vacationing in the Riviera Maya, and the Xichen by Xcaret Chichén Itzá Deluxe Tour is a very good option if you don’t want to rent a car and drive yourself, but be warned: it’s a very long day. On the way there, we were picked up from our hotel then brought to Xel-Há, where we waited in a large parking lot for some time to board a different bus. On the way back, we had to go all the way into Tulum then to several other hotels along the coast to drop off other guests, before finally being dropped off ourselves back in Xcaret.

Not enough time at Chichen Itza - Interesting experience overall. Too bad that Mexico allows all that many vendors at the historical site. The tour was OK. Not enough time allowed to stay at Chichen Itza, need at least another hour or two. The observatory was not included in the tour which was disappointing. The place for lunch at Valladolid was nice.

Not all that great - just... - Not all that great - just don't travel solo with this one, it sucks when you're by yourself it can be overwhelming unless you're outgoing and sociable but it wasn't for me...
