A wonderful experience - We did this as a shore excursion on a cruise. The bus ride was very comfortable and our tour guide Daniel was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and very funny. If we ever make it back to Costa Maya we will be doing this tour again.

10/10 would recommend! - The tour was amazing! Our guide, David, was so worldly and full of knowledge. It was hard not to point at every little thing and ask- what is that? But when our small group of 5 did, he had such an educated answer. Thank you so much for every little detail that went into making us feel welcome. Right from the first greeting the company and guides were welcoming. It's small details like that that help when in a foreign country. Our small group walked straight from the port, the directions were precise, and the locals very friendly.

Good, but the Costa Maya port needs to be easier to navigate to the excursion - We had a nice ride to the location, but unfortunately my elderly Mother couldn't see the entire site, only the first, closest pyramid. We were so looking forward to the Mayan family, but by no fault of the tour company, our cruise ship arrived 2 hours late and we couldn't have the second part of the tour. The Costa Maya port is very long from the ship and very hard walk for elderly people, be sure to secure a wheelchair to get from the ship to the excursion. A Walker is not recommended. We saw only a little but what we saw was very interesting and nice. Our guide was very accommodating, considering the circumstances.

Unique cultural and historic experience! - Outstanding tour of Mayan ruins. Spectacular sights and great photo opportunities. The guide was knowledge about all aspects of the ruins. A part of this this operation is gift shop and cafe. Well worth the coach ride out to the site!

NOT WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE - BEWARE: NOT WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE!! The tour itself was lovely. The ruins were amazing and David, our tour guide, was just great! I recommend the this tour ONLY if you are NOT in a wheelchair. I took off 2 stars because I was told to take this tour because I am in a wheelchair and this tour was NOT accessible. I feel duped by the company and feel they didn’t care how unfit this tour is for people in wheelchairs. Fortunately, I am rather small (140lbs) and my husband is quite strong, but this was a significant physical challenge for him. The terrain is very rocky, uneven, and even muddy the day we went. Many times he had to turn me around and pull me backwards just to be able to get down the path. I have a power chair that would have likely been ruined if I had tried to use that. If you are able-bodied, this is an excellent tour. If you’re in a wheelchair, I’d skip it.
