The time spent rafting is approximately 1.5 hours. The trip will finish, you will get into the vans and head back to our office. The morning tour will include lunch after the tour.

The Naranjo River is a Class III/IV half day challenge for more experienced paddlers. The Naranjo River drops steeply from the coastal mountain range above Quepos through a beautiful jungle gorge, and takes you on a wild ride to sea level, passing nearby farmlands and palm plantations. The river banks are overgrown with jungle and the canyon walls meet the water at 90 degree angles. The whitewater, jungle, canyon, and sky, make for an unforgettable day. For the advanced rafter, this is an exciting and refreshing ride through the Naranjo canyon. As well, if you are a first time paddler who welcomes a challenge and is looking for the excitement of big waves, hydraulics and stunning scenery, then this whitewater rafting trip is for you!
It includes a snack, lunch, bilingual guides, safety kayak, photographer (pictures available for purchase), and A/C transportation to and from hotels or houses in Manuel Antonio or Quepos.
- Minimum age is 12 years
- Dress code: swimsuit, towel, change of clothes, water shoes, tennis shoes or sandals with ankle straps. No flip flops.
- Vegetarian option is available, please advise at time of booking if required
- A minimum of 2 people per booking is required
- A minimum of 4 people per booking for the 11:30AM tour is required

Once in a lifetime whitewater rafting experience! - We had an amazing time!!! All of our guides were awesome, the rapids were so much fun, and there was a perfect balance of challenge, excitement, and a little bit of fear!! Thank you guys for guiding us on an amazing tour and giving us an unforgettable experience.

Incredible!! - Jesus was an amazing guide. He made the ride fun and we felt reasonably safe. My 15 year old loved it. This was the highlight of our trip! Highly recommend!! So much fun!!! Even for beginners.

SO MUCH FUN!! - So much fun! Very convenient to be picked up at our hotel and brought back. Mau and Wesley are excellent guides, kept us safe the whole time. Our 9 year old son did not want to go in the first place and ended up loving it! Yummy fresh snacks. We highly recommend and hope we have the opportunity to book with M & R again!

Amazing experience from... - Amazing experience from start to finish. One of the guides, Pablo, along with the driver, picked us up at our hotel. Pablo was friendly and knowledgeable. We picked up a couple of other groups, headed to the main office and filled out our waivers and then headed out. All of the guides were friendly and helpful. Once we arrived at the launching site they helped us all gear-up and made sure everything fit appropriately. They walked us through the directions they would give us while rafting along with all safety info. Pablo was the guide for our raft and he made the experience fantastic. He was funny and very knowledgeable. Giving us info on wildlife we saw in between big rapids. We stopped partway down the river for a water and snack break. The rapids were great and Pablo handled them like the pro he is. Once we finished rafting we went back to the office for a delicious lunch and then they took us back to our hotels. They also had a photographer kayaking along with us with the option to purchase pictures after our experience. I would 100% recommend this tour!

A fun, wild ride! - This trip was fantastic! Safe, professional and so fun! All of the guides were great - friendly, knowledgeable and made this first-timer feel comfortable. The rapids were very intense at times but so fun. Would highly recommend!

Highly recommend! - This was an amazing experience! The guides were so friendly and helpful - great time with our guide Ulysses! We felt safe and had a blast. Because we were just two and a guide, our raft was very light: the rapids were like riding a roller coaster. A bonus was that our photos were hilarious. Would do again!

Best rafting with best team ever! - Best rafting trip of our lives! I've been rafting a few times before (in the US) but this was probably the best rafting trip I've taken. My husband and son had never been rafting before and didn't know what to expect. Minds were blown!
Rafting trips really are almost all dependent on how good your guide is - do they make sure to keep you safe, do they communicate, how well do they know the river, what lines do they take, can they create awesome moments.........our guides Jesus and Juan absolutely did all of this and more. Jesus was our raft guide and Juan was our safety kayak guide. Between pointing out all of the amazing wildlife we saw along the way, Jesus was an expert at maximizing the thrills in each section while ensuring our safety. You could tell he had an intimate knowledge of the river, its quirks, what makes it special and fun and what spots were the best. We saw one other tour on the river while we were out there and I don't know what company they were with, but it was clear that Jesus was one of the best as it looked like most of the passengers were very dry (LOL!).
Juan was our safety guide who followed on a kayak and took pictures as well. At one part of the river Jesus had us get out and swim across to enjoy the refreshing water. Juan was right there making sure we were safe. And it was also so much fun watching Juan do kayak tricks down the rapids as well (he's a competitive kayaker and is incredible!).
Our driver to and from the hotel was terrific as well (I apologize because I don't remember his name). And the lunch they served us afterwards couldn't have been more delicious.
All in all, this adventure was the highlight of our trip and probably the highlight of my teen son's life! Thank you to the team at ADR for the best experience we had in Costa Rica.

Recommend it! - We had a great time on the Naranjo and would recommend this excursion! The scenery was beautiful and we enjoyed seeing the plants and wildlife along the way. Jesus and Kenneth were great guides and we felt very safe with them. The river wasn’t very deep when we went, so the rapids weren’t crazy but still was very fun. They provided light snacks on the river and that was a lovely treat. We enjoyed the trip and would do it again, just took one star off for the cost for just about 1.5-2 hours on the river. We come from an area with great white water rapids, and it costs about 1/2 to 2/3 the price for a trip twice as long at home. Still, we felt it was worth it because it was fun and we made great memories.

Fun and adventurous. - We had a great time.we went to the the top and came back. It includes lunch and snack. The guides were great as long as you listen to instructions. The water was smooth but at the beginning there was a lot of splash onto the face.
