We’ll navigate the exciting Class II and III rapids on our rafts, and midway, we’ll pause for a refreshing snack beside a waterfall. After our rafting adventure concludes, we’ll return to the Amigos Del Rio base in Manuel Antonio to enjoy a well-deserved lunch, before transporting our guests back to their respective accommodations.

For the adventuresome beginner and experienced rafter the Class II and III rapids will have you filled with adrenaline as you paddle hard over the waves. Along the way you will be astounded by the awesome canyons, waterfalls, and primary rainforest of Costa Rica. The Savegre River is a magnificent stretch of whitewater that begins its course by winding out of a sparsely inhabited valley in the mountains. This trip also includes a stop at a beautiful waterfall.
Includes snack, lunch, certified equipment and guides, safety kayaker, and A/C transportation to and from hotels or houses in Manuel Antonio or Quepos.
- Minimum age is 6 years
- What to Bring: swimsuit, towel, change of clothes, sunscreen, bug spray, water shoes, tenis shoes or sandals with ankle straps. No flip flops.
- Vegetarian option is available, please advise at time of booking if required
- Largest life jacket fits a size 52” chest
- A minimum of 2 people per booking is required
- A minimum of 4 people per booking for the 11:30AM tour is required

The drive takes longer... - The drive takes longer than they admit but it’s totally worth it. Johnny, Louis and Pedro were great during the entire trip. Harrison the driver was amazing and the armadillo is an experience! The waterfall is beautiful and lunch was great. They picked us up at our hotel too which made it easy for us.

Lots of wetness! - Luis was a great guide, knowledgeable about the river and navigating whitewater. First time in a small raft for us, lots of splashes! Transportation was prompt, be aware that.there is an hour-plus drive to get to the put-in.

Amazing trip! - Stunning views, so much fun, and our guides Jesus and Pablo were very knowledgeable about the area and were able to provide cool information about the local wildlife. They are very safety focused and ensure you are having a good time the whole way. Will be back again!

Fun and action in great company - The rafting tour was super organized and a great adventure. Andres, Ulises and the rest of the team did a great job. You notice their passion for what they do and so it's all the more fun! High value is placed on security and at the same time on Pura Vida ;-) absolutely with this provider.

Amazing First Time Experience! - Amigos Del Rio is a phenomenal team! We had an amazing whitewater rafting experience. We opted out for the hotel pick up but they were gracious enough to still provide it for us. Once at the meetup point it’s about 1 hour 30 minute drive out to the river. Our guide Andres provided us with clear instructions of what to expect as well as safety precautions. Since it’s been raining the water was high which I think added to the overall experience. At the halfway point we got of the raft and walked to a waterfall where we had a break and some snacks. lunch is provided at the end of the tour at Amigos Del Rio. I definitely recommend you book your next experience with them!

Would do again! - Exactly what we expected! Not the hardest rapids, but def enjoyable! Loved the drive & the history lesson. Our guides & driver were phenomenal. The walk to the waterfall with snacks was a great break with beautiful scenery. Water was refreshing on a hot day. Would do again for sure! Lunch was our fav tour lunch in all of Costa Rica. Jonathon was our safety guide, he was full of information. Jesus was our rafting guide & he was great! Luis was our driver & he was very kind as well! All around a great tour!

Amazing experience! - Our white water rafting tour was an unforgettable experience! The drive up to the starting point was quite the adventure itself—thrilling and a bit wild, but it only added to the excitement of the day.
Once we hit the water, the real fun began. Our tour guide, Jesus, was exceptional. He was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive, making sure everyone felt safe and informed throughout the journey. The entire team of guides was fantastic, always ready to assist and share interesting facts about the river and surrounding nature.
The rafting down the river was nothing short of amazing. The rapids were exhilarating, and the scenery was breathtaking. It was the perfect mix of adrenaline and natural beauty. We felt well taken care of and thoroughly enjoyed every moment.

Can't recommend enough - Incredibly fun! Perfect for our kids (9 and 7) who had never whitewater rafted before but it's all they raved about for days after our trip. Our guide Andres was amazing on the river, pointing out sights along the way. Can't recommend enough.

River Rafting Experience. - This trip was amazing! We didn’t realize upon booking that it’s about 1 1/2 drive from Quepos but our guide Uylessus kept us entertained and the ride to the river was very interesting. The rafting was fantastic. We got some fun rapids but not too much. I felt very safe the whole time. A guide in each raft along with two kayakers from the company went along with us to help. Loved the stop along the waterfall where we swam. Nice meal back at the main shop at the end of the trip. I would highly recommend. A definitely highlight of our trip to Costa Rica!
