An amazing tour guide - This was an amazing experience with Mauro and it will be a highlight of your trip! We did a private tour and it was totally worth it. Mauro is knowledgeable, friendly and had an eye for spotting the wildlife, setting up the telescope and taking some of the most amazing pictures you will ever see! Book it now!

Thorough, knowledgeable, engaging guide - HIGHLIGHT of our visit to Costa Rica - Mauro was a fantastic guide!! I cannot recommend him enough. Next time I would also ask him to lead our mangrove tour. He was patient, thorough, knowledgeable, and extremely skilled at identifying even the tiniest creatures and plants. He not only pointed out animals, he also explained their behaviors and adaptations. We went on a September morning and saw sloths, capuchin and howler monkeys, stick birds, ruddy quail dove, vine snake, red eyed tree frog, hourglass frog, red winged grasshopper, deer, coatis, land and fiddler crabs, and many spiders and insects. I was very impressed by his depth of knowledge and experience. In terms of logistics, he messaged us early on with clear instructions on where to park safely ($10 fee) and to buy the national park tickets (~$25) separately ahead of time. The path he took us on was quite flat and easy for children and seniors. We finished in the park near the cafeteria/bathrooms which gave us a chance to continue hiking after the 2 hour tour. We booked through Airbnb.

Mauro, an extraordinary guide - We were greeted by Mauro with great enthusiasm. He introduced us to all kinds of animals and plants during the visit, with an educational approach. Excellent guide and very comfortable in English.

Excellent experience with Mauro in Manuel Antonio Park - We loved this experience in the park. Mauro has been an excellent guide with a lot of experience about the fauna and flora of the park. He works here dsd for 10 years and is a great professional looking for animals and showing his knowledge. In the group we have only been 4 people and it has been very comfortable. We have been 2.5 hours and enjoyed it very much. When we have finished we have stayed doing the route of the viewpoints and then on the beach, which has been spectacular. Swimsuit and towel are required!! Tour highly recommended.

A must have tour guide! - Mauro was absolutely incredible. He was personable, knowledgeable, fun and had a keen eye to spot so many amazing wildlife critters! We initially contemplated going to the park ourselves and then decided to give this a try. We are SO glad we worked with Mauro- I think we would have seen maybe 2-3 things our own. We saw 4 sloths (admittedly was lucky) but we would have seen 0 without him. Absolutely worth it. Highly recommend!

Dylan (with Mauro) was great!! - We had a fantastic time with our guide Dylan (who works with Mauro), he was incredibly knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of Manuel Antonio park and we learned so much. He clearly loves nature and all of the creatures and did a wonderful job explaining. It's so worth it to see the park with a guide, he was really good at spotting animals and was often showing other guides on the trail where to look. We saw monkeys, sloths, hummingbirds, bats, insects, lizards, and more. I'd definitely recommend Dylan with Mauro tours. Also, the communication in advance was excellent, they make sure you know how to get tickets, what to bring (and what not to), where to park, etc.

Mauro is a Top Guide! - Incredible! I can’t recommend Mauro enough. He’s very knowledgeable and spots creatures you’d never see otherwise. We did the 7am tour which is really key in having a head start before the crowds. We saw so many things: multiple sloths, hummingbirds, a vine snake, the most spectacular grasshopper, bats, iguanas, crabs, frog egg cases, a toucan, birds, butterflies, lizards, and so much more. We really appreciated all the scientific explanations. He takes great photos with his scope and shares them after the tour. We continued walking after the tour and only saw a lizard, so a tour guide makes all the difference in seeing the abundant wildlife the park has to offer.

SO Worth it!! Just Book it!!! - Our guide was Harold and he was fantastic! It was 100% worth the money to have him as a guide for the first 2 hours of our park visit. Booking at 7am was ideal, as there were fewer other visitors and was not too hot yet. Harold had an uncanny ability to spot many animals that we never would have seen otherwise. He was knowledgeable about the animals, spoke excellent English, and was very personable. We were able to look at the animals and take incredible pictures and videos through his powerful scope. In fact, he took the pics/videos for me and knew how to use my camera features better than I did! We saw 4 sloths, one at very close range, basilisk lizards, red land crabs, a hawk, bats, and more. He dropped us off by the beaches and gave us tips on where else to go in the park.
