Tour is a nature walk finding wildlife to see and photograp throught the scope with smartphones.
You might choose to stay in the park after the tour, so bring your bathing suit if planning swimming. Park is open to 4pm, but beaches to 3pm. In addition there are some other trails you can explore by yourself.

The guided tour is a must - - Highly recommend the guided tour.
Our guide, Albin (Alvin) was a wealth of information and experience.
If not for his expertise, we would have missed all the wildlife.

If you’re on the fence, this is a sign to definitely book and ask for Albin! - Albin was an extraordinary guide with exceptional eyes, generous explanations and a profound respect for all living things. Everyone had recommended touring the park with a guide and, having done it, we can’t imagine visiting without an expert!
The animals, insects and birds are exceptionally well camouflaged and often tiny (um, hummingbird in her nest!) - so we definitely needed Albin to point out the wonders and focus his monocular on some spectacular sightings.
This included a vine snake, lots of sloths (with their babies), bats, helmeted basilisk, grasshopper, iguanas, crabs and plenty of monkeys. There were also wonderful plants, trees and flowers that Albin was able to point out. He was also super helpful with taking photos through his monocular for my mother in law.
In summary: if you’re thinking of visiting the park, absolutely book a guide and we highly recommend Albin!
Other NB info: have a huge breakfast, book for an early tour, pay the 10$ official parking lot fee, don’t bring food or single use plastic, soak up the knowledge and then hang out at the beach. (We carried our snorkels and googles around on the tour and it was worth it - saw so many fish and a ray!). There are water fountains and showers in the park for changing.

Albin is the coolest person on Earth. - Albin gave my family a tour we will never forget! We went through Manuel Antonio Park and came out the other end with SO much knowledge. Not only did he share incredibly interesting facts about the park, its ecosystem, and its history, but his perception is superhuman. He spotted creatures so small or so distant that no one in our group would have found them with hours of time to walk through the park. And not only was he an incredible guide, but so friendly as well! He was interested in our stories, told plenty of his own, and even shared some fun philosophical conversations with us. Truly a gem of a human being. If you're lucky enough to snag Albin as your guide, you're in for a great time.

Great wildlife sightings - We had a great time at the park and were fortunate to make several wildlife sightings. Albin was our guide and he did a phenomenal job. We wish he could come with us to Monteverde for our next tour

The best guide ever, hands down. - Marbin was just amazing, he spotted animals, insects, birds, mammals and plants so keenly other groups started following us. He was knowledgeable, well spoken, polite and very generous with his time and expertise. If you can choose him as your guide - do it, you will not be dissapointed. Thanks Marbin from all of us for such a special day.

Amazing tour of Manuel Antonio - Albin was an absolutely AMAZING guide through Manuel Antonio National Park. He saw things we never would have seen, and he took so many pictures and videos for us. We had our 10-year old son and he made sure he was able to see everything at his height. He took the time to explain little details about both animals and plants and it was a true learning experience! We highly recommend Albin! Get there for the 7am opening and you’ll pretty much have the park to yourself!
