Alonso Hernandez and Interpreters of the Nature were just awesome for us! - Alonso Hernandez and Interpreters of the Nature were just awesome for us! We were in Costa Rica for 10 days for spring break with our two small children. Alonso coordinated our transportation to and from San Jose as well as a guided tour in Manuel Antonio National Park. His level of communication and follow through was exceptional! A special thank you to Alonso for providing a comfortable van with kid seats so that we didn’t have to lug kid seats around the world! Our tour with guide, Stephanie, was one of the highlights of the trip, our kids still talk about it! She was clearly passionate about the incredible and unique environment, and was able to spot very well camouflaged animals that we never would have seen on our own. We fully recommend this company, they were a big part of our unforgettable experience!!

Awesome nature and an amazing guide! - This is a beautiful nature park. So much to see. Many trees , plants , insects and animals. As one who is in awe of nature, and the God who created it, this is definitely a must see in Costa Rica. Unless you’re a degreed naturalist, do not come alone. Our guide, Andres, was phenomenal. He had quite a keen eye for spotting everything. He could see a spider 3 meters into the forest. Spied sloths in the top of trees meters away. He explained the species, their habitat and their relatives. Explaining when they were active their diets and habits Andres was amazing. I hope you may have a guide as attentive and knowledgeable as he is.

Don’t Book a Tour Unless it’s with Derek - A wonderful guided experience - Derek was a well informed guide with a great personality. Our group of four was small compared to most of the guided groups in the park and made for a more intimate experience. Right at the start we saw monkeys, a frog sleeping peacefully on a leaf, more monkeys, a zigzag spider, land crab, two clawed sloth (x2), a three toed sloth, a rare sight of an owl, more monkeys, and that doesn’t even cover it all. I highly recommend the earliest time you can book before the park starts to get busy. We had a wonderful experience, I would book the tour again. Thanks, Derek! It was a pleasure meeting you. Pura Vida!

An amazing and stress-free nature walk and swim - A wonderful time. We had a funny and knowledgeable guide, who found so many animals for us to spy through his optical equipment. He also took multiple pictures of each animal, through the equipment, with my phone. It was a 2 hour calm walk. The fruit and drink we received at the end was excellent, and then, if that wasn't enough, vwe had 1.5 hrs floating in the warm pacific ocean, and observing the most beautiful views. Our guide asked us how long we wished to remain at the beach, and had our taxi come for our chosen time. An awesome, stress free excursion.

Fantastic Walking Tour - Led by a certified guide, we saw a diverse selection of mammals, insects, snake and flowers. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and engaged.
Important to book a guide especially through the park website as we would have never seen three-quarters of the wildlife our guide pointed out. With a tripod and scope at hand, we were able to view the tiniest and well-camouflaged creatures.
Tips: Rocky paths so avoid wearing flip flops. No plastic or food is allowed so bring lots of water in a reusable container. Although it was not buggy for us, it probably is a good idea to wear insect repellent in addition to sunscreen.

Amazing experience with an amazing guide! - Andy, our guide was exceptional. He was really good at spotting wildlife that we would not have been able to find on our own. we also got great pictures and videos from the telescope so we can remember them! Andy had really extensive knowledge about the wildlife in the park and kept the kids engaged the whole time. We were really lucky to see both two and three fingered sloths, a baby viper, and some amazing insects!
