Starting from the Ziptrek Treehouse at the top of the Skyline Gondola, you’ll zip down the mountain, enjoying breathtaking views of Lake Wakatipu and the snow-capped Remarkables mountain range. With three different tours available, there’s something for everyone – whether you’re new to Queenstown’s adventure scene, eager to experience the world’s steepest tree-to-tree zipline, or ready to take on our latest tour, the Kereru, which includes a 21-meter drop!
- The maximum weight for any Ziptrek Ecotour is 125kg (275lbs). The Kea tour has a minimum weight of 30kg (66lbs).
- Gondola tickets are not included in price - we recommend a minimum of 60 minutes to access the upper Skyline complex from the base terminal, or at least 90 minutes in peak times
- Please bring an extra layer of clothing year round! Jackets, hats and gloves are recommended. Closed toe shoes are essential (no sandals, flip flops or heels)
- Prior to your arrival it is mandatory to complete a Participant Consent Form. The web link to this form will be within your voucher
- Youths under the age of 14 years MUST be accompanied by a paying adult (15 years and over) on tour. Those 17 years and under must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian who is 18 years or over.
- If you or anyone in your group has a medical condition or a recent injury please bring this to our attention. Pregnant woman are unable to go on tour.
- Not allowed for travelers over the weight limit of 125kg (275lbs)

The Ziptrek Treehouse is located at the top of Skyline gondola. Please turn left and walk approximately 300 feet (100 metres) from the Skyline top terminal building, just past the helipad.
Return point: Kereru and Moa tours returns to original departure point
Kea tour concludes at the gondola base

1st time zipping. It helps when the guides are awesome. Thank you Nan Nan. - Did this 2day with MITCHELL and LILLI. Totally loved it. Defs keep these 2 on, they're awesome. Our legs are feeling it now, lol.

Fast fun! - We had a fun afternoon with JD and Ben, who were great guides. We did the 6 ziplines and even with my nerves they made me feel very comfortable. Would recommend, young or old … we had a variety of ages in our group. Thanks for a fun afternoon.

Fun ride- even in the rain - We were there on a cold and rainy day- but even in that the kids had a great experience. We only did the 2 line option and that was a good experience and saved a bit of $$. Felt that the company provided a safe and fun experience for the kids. Good option- even in the rain.

Great team building activity! - Absolutely awesome experience. There were 8 of us in our group, we were there for team building. It was such a great activity because there was time for us to chat, laugh at each other, and cheer each other on.
I'd definitely recommend doing all 6 zip lines, the last one was epic.
The crew we had (Lillie and Aiden) were great hosts, and we loved the little bits of sustainability messaging throughout. It felt authentic to the activity, and to how we do things in NZ. They also had a great sense of humour, and chatted away easily with all our team.

Totally fun & exciting - Did the 2 hour 4-zips with my family of 4. My girls enjoyed it so much, they went for the 2 hour zip + drop afterwards! A fabulous experience & definitely the highlight of our trip. To be honest, i was feeling low-grade regret for booking this tour .... knees were kinda protesting as we approached the meeting point. Thanks to our guides (Rhys & Mich) who were extremely professional & friendly -- they put all my "fear" at ease with their friendly chats and reassurances that I'll be fine. Totally enjoyed the entire experience and by the end of it, totally glad we did it. Thanks Rhys & Mich, you guys were fab! (hope we spelt your names right). Thanks Queenstown, your views are totally stunning.

So fun! What a great way to get down the mountain! - We did the 6-line tour and it was wonderful! Thank you to Inge and Lillie for their informative, fun and energetic guiding. We had a lovely time flying through the treetops!
There was singing, hanging upside down, flopping and fun as we made our way down the treetops.
We always felt that we were safe, well-cared for and that we were also taking care of the environment around us.
The eco conservation message is a nice touch to remind us to give more than we take and appreciate what we have.
There was a lot of information about the temperate rainforest and it was so fun to get out of your comfort zone and even try the world's longest tree-to-tree zipline.
The small groups are also a plus.

Excellent First Excursion To Introduce Myself To Queenstown's Adrenaline Culture! - This was my introduction to the adrenaline-fuelled culture Queenstown has to offer. And it was amazing! The team is very friendly, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable and professional! Believe me, safety is their NUMBER ONE PRIORITY! I chose the 6-line tour, but I do believe there are different options available. On the way down, you learn about the history and ecological welfare of Queenstown and the surrounding areas, which I wasn't expecting but definitely added to the overall experience. It all culminates in the steepest zipline in the WORLD, which was AWESOME! I would like to thank LUCY & KAHU for their fun, friendly, professional, and knowledgeable instruction and guidance. They really did make it a special occasion for all of the group that day. Thanks, girls! However, I'm positive that any of the tour guides/specialists would have delivered the same magical experience.
