Starting from the Ziptrek Treehouse at the top of the Skyline Gondola, you’ll zip down the mountain, enjoying breathtaking views of Lake Wakatipu and the snow-capped Remarkables mountain range. With three different tours available, there’s something for everyone – whether you’re new to Queenstown’s adventure scene, eager to experience the world’s steepest tree-to-tree zipline, or ready to take on our latest tour, the Kereru, which includes a 21-meter drop!
- The maximum weight for any Ziptrek Ecotour is 125kg (275lbs). The Kea tour has a minimum weight of 30kg (66lbs).
- Gondola tickets are not included in price - we recommend a minimum of 60 minutes to access the upper Skyline complex from the base terminal, or at least 90 minutes in peak times
- Please bring an extra layer of clothing year round! Jackets, hats and gloves are recommended. Closed toe shoes are essential (no sandals, flip flops or heels)
- Prior to your arrival it is mandatory to complete a Participant Consent Form. The web link to this form will be within your voucher
- Youths under the age of 14 years MUST be accompanied by a paying adult (15 years and over) on tour. Those 17 years and under must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian who is 18 years or over.
- If you or anyone in your group has a medical condition or a recent injury please bring this to our attention. Pregnant woman are unable to go on tour.
- Not allowed for travelers over the weight limit of 125kg (275lbs)

Ziptrek Treehouse – Tour Check-In
The Ziptrek Treehouse is located at the top of Skyline gondola. Please turn left and walk approximately 300 feet (100 metres) from the Skyline top terminal building, just past the helipad.
Return point: Kereru and Moa tours returns to original departure point
Kea tour concludes at the gondola base

10/10 best experience by far!!! - My fiancé and I were lucky enough to have gotten a private tour with 2 of the best guides we could have asked for!! Mitchell and Hamish are hands down the best guides for this activity, very knowledgeable, have great senses of humour and made the whole experience so much more memorable. Thank you!! Fantastic experience,... - Fantastic experience, great friendly guides that took security seriously but otherwise were very chill, it starts slow and ramps up at the end which is perfect. Highly recommend. As this is on top of the mountain you might want to plan your day around this and do other fun stuff in the mountain like the luge.

Fun filled adrenaline!!! - Absolutely amazing experience with the best guides!!! They both made the experience one to remember!!!! Sooooooooooooooo glad my daughter convinced me to go zip lining!!!!!!

A little leap of faith with great guides - Sydney and Hamish were great guides. Knowledgeable and low-key. Our only complaint was wishing it was longer. We had fun!

Snowy Zip Adventure - An amazing day out!!! I took my parents (mid 50s) on the 6 line tour and it was so much fun, it was quite a grey day but when we started it turned into the most beautiful snowy day and by the time we got to the last line it had cleared and opened up to a clear view of the lake! Our guides Shaz and Pearl were incredible and kept spirits so high on the (very cold) tour! Would definitely recommend!

Must do in Queenstown. - I cannot recommend this experience highly enough. From the adrenaline of the adventure to the incredibly beautiful scenery the whole adventure was one of the highlights of our holiday. Harry and Adam were professional, knowledgeable and made the experience a lot of fun. A must do in Queenstown.

6 lines zip lines. - A great challenge even for the fainthearted- 6 zip lines through the forest- well worth the effort. Guided through by Pearl and Mitchell - they were great- good humour and knowledge. Also happy to support an eco friendly tourist adventure.
