If you want to jump off a mountain with a stranger… - Tai, my guide for my Queenstown Tandem Paragliding adventure, titled this for me. We did this activity as a family of 7 (children 13 - 21). From check in to take-off to landing to drop-off, it was a smooth experience! We were all 1st time gliders and all off us agreed we would do it again. I was impressed by each of our pilot’s positivity, patience, and genuine interest in making the experience perfect for each of us. The take-off was fairly effortless and the glide was super smooth. Great weather offered great views! We took off from Coronet Ski Resort area and landed in the direction of Arrowtown—about a 700m descent and 3 km journey. Several of the pilots did maneuvers in the air to add to the excitement of the ride (if we wanted). We highly recommend adding a paragliding experience to your Queenstown adrenaline list!
