Later take a stroll around the nearby Guandi Temple dedicated to Guan Yu. The temple is more than 1000 years old. Besides praying for your loved ones, you can also go there to learn about Guandi and history of the temple. Then head to Fuwen Temple built in Tang Dynasty as a memorial temple of Confucius, the greatest ideologist and the founder of Confucianism, who was and is acknowledged as the greatest sage in China. The main body is Dacheng Hall, which is used to worship Confucius. The architectural structure of the hall is unique in Quanzhou. The entire hall is supported by 48 white stone pillars.
