Journey into the Heart of the Amazon

The journey began at the break of dawn, as I boarded a bus from the bustling city of Puyo. The anticipation of exploring the Tayos Caves and immersing myself in the Shuar community was palpable. As the bus wound its way through the lush, verdant landscape, I couldn’t help but marvel at the sheer beauty of the Amazon. Upon arrival, we embarked on a one-hour trek through the jungle, our luggage in tow. The path was a tapestry of greens, with towering trees and a symphony of bird calls accompanying us.
