Great Puntarenas Tour - The Odyssey bus picked us up at the cruise port as directed. The driver spoke good English and narrated appropriately. We first stopped at the Monkey House to see monkeys in their native habitat. Other tourists were there, we stayed an appropriate amount of time. We then stopped at a very clean modern restaurant/gift shop El Jardin. We had an adequate amount of time to use the restroom, take photos and browse or make purchases. We observed local artisans painting wooden sculptures for sale. We ten stopped at the Crocodile Bridge to see crocs in their native habitat. Other tourists were there, vendors were nearby and we spent an appropriate amount of time there. The driver then took us to a treed area to see macaws in the branches. Pretty cool! We stopped next at a fruit stand where we could use the restroom and make a purchase of fresh local grown fruit or purchase a fruit slushy which was delicious! We then went to an overlook to see the contrast of mountains and valleys. There was a little outdoor modern restaurant with restrooms and food/beverages for purchase. Driving back to the cruise port, the driver narrated the history and economics of the area and toured us through the downtown area! A great tour!

Awesome fun - It was awesome, the monkey house was worth it all. The rest was just icing. I am traveling with my 17 year old grandson and was so much fun he put down his phone.

A Fantastic Tour of Puntarenas! - Vinnie the tour guide welcomed us at the cruise dock and made us comfortable. We saw white faced monkeys, crocodiles in the river, macaws in the trees, an amazing view of the volcano, and many sites in the city. It was four hours of adventure and excitement! One of the best tours we’ve taken

Costa Rican culture; up close - Really enjoyed this tour, especially the Monkey Farm and being able to have the monkeys safely crawl on us and take food; safe and fun! We saw wildlife planned and not; alligators, parrots and iguanas. While they were commercial stops, the fruit stand had the best fresh fruit and cold fresh coconut water and the souvenir store was interesting, very complete, fair prices, and juices and liquors to taste and purchase. Small group and a great guide made for a fun tour!

Enjoying viewing local kids dance and browsing wood carving exhibitions. - It is a beautiful December Saturday morning, we joined a “Scenic Costa Rica” shore excursion of our Cruise Lines. Caldera Puerto is the main freight port in the Pacific side of Costa Rica. Our bus took us through a sightseeing drive to Esparza, a town that is one of the most picturesque in Costa Rica's Central Pacific region. Upon arrival of Esparza schools (elementary school in daytime and High school in night) a handful of kids dancers in colorful dresses greeting us. Our last stop was at “El Jardin”that’s a local souvenir and had an opportunity to browse around the shop, sample their delicious fruits or taste a Costa Rican cup of coffee. On the way to the port, the Right Front tire of our Bus was flattened with a loud explosion sound. Luckily our driver managed to move our Bus to roadside safely. About one half hour later, another Bus took us to cruise ship safely. .

Exactly what I wanted and more. - We had a wonderful small group van excursion with Gustavo. He was an excellent driver and took us to all the highlights that a big tour bus wouldn't have been able to go. We saw monkeys and scarlet macaw up close and a couple sleepy crocodile. Stopped at two very clean shopping/ refreshment places. The church was a nice historic spot in an old part of town.
