A highlight of our trip in Santa Teresa! - My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of doing two amazing tours with Ernesto from Grasshopper Tours in Santa Teresa: the Curu Wildlife Reserve and the Montezuma Waterfalls. Both experiences were unforgettable and far exceeded our expectations. Ernesto is not only incredibly knowledgeable about Costa Rican nature and wildlife, but he also takes the time to share his passion in a way that’s engaging and easy to understand. At Curu, we spotted an incredible variety of animals—monkeys, birds, parrots - thanks to Ernesto’s trained eye and telescope, which brought the wildlife up close in stunning detail. For the Montezuma Waterfalls, Ernesto made sure we arrived early enough to be the first ones there. We had the magical experience of jumping and swimming in the falls all to ourselves. It felt like something out of a dream! On both tours, Ernesto treated us to fresh coconuts and delicious local snacks—such a thoughtful and refreshing touch after our adventures. A great experience with Ernesto - Ernesto did a really great job. He know nearly everything about the wildlife and the plants. He even ist able to "talk" with and to the animals. Of course he is technicaly best equiped, starting up from his bus to his binoculars. You'll see not only a lot of animals, get informations also from the way of living in Costa Rica - Ernesto offers you a good and fruity lunch and finally a very nice gift. Adventures in Costa Rica - Ernesto's knowledge, expertise and passion for nature in Costa Rica made our family's trip one of the best experiences we could have. Simply the best! - If you're ever in the Nicoya Peninsula, do yourself a favor and book a nature walk with Ernesto-truly one of the best naturalist guides I’ve met. This was far more than a typical nature tour (though we did spot some incredible birds, monkeys, and even alligators). It was a deep dive into the rhythms of a Blue Zone- one of world's areas known for people's longevity. Ernesto's knowledge of the healing properties of native plants is also truly fascinating and he shares everything with passion sparkled with fun.

Amazing experience, highly recommended! - We had the best experience with Ernesto! The tour was arranged several days in advance, and we were picked up right on time in a superbly comfortable van. When he learned of my keen interest in birds, Ernesto did a detour to stop at a lake where we saw a variety of species in the lake habitat. Wow! Using a spotting scope, Ernesto showed us close-up views and took photos of a wide variety of species of birds, as well as lizards and other life! Curo National Park was rich with bird life, interesting plants and trees, various types of lizards, and monkeys and coatis, and Ernesto is extremely knowledgeable about their ecology and life histories. We wrapped up the tour with cold drinks and delicious pineapple and watermelon at a picnic table. Highly recommend!
