Wonderful experience! - Definitely worth the money! Our guide, Jonny, was very knowledgeable and very helpful. We saw monkeys, two toed sloths and many other animals. We enjoyed learning about the history of the mangroves too!

Monkeys and Mangroves Boat Tour excellent! - Excellent! Shuttle bus pick up in Jaco included and our driver Ronnie explained all about the palm oil plantations. Once at the monkey mangrove boat tour, we had more demonstration about how the dates are harvested, a short medicinal plant walk and folks got to sit on or pet a rescue water buffalo. Finally the boat which was full, about 20 folks. We say iguanas, a tiger heron and finally white faced monkeys that got very close and climbed onto the boat. Memo was an excellent guide but a got a bit too preachy about the environmental message at the end. We’re all nature lovers, so a bit of preaching to the choir.

Half day experience on a working farm and mangrove-mangrove river - Wonderful experience experiencing the flora and fauna. We were introduced to agricultural practices and working animals and the mangrove river experience. The monkeys were awesome! Our guide was articulate in the English language and very knowledgeable! A definite must do experience. I think the evening tours see more wildlife

We enjoyed our monkey... - We enjoyed our monkey tour. There is a lot more to see on the tour than we expected from the farm with water buffalo, chickens and donkeys to the wildlife of birds, lizards, monkeys, bats and iguanas there was always something to look at>

Exciting experience!! - The mangrove is beautiful and the monkeys were so much fun! They worked hard to make sure we had a great experience! This was the second visit for some of us and we will go again!

Beautiful scenery and wild critters! - Guide and driver were prompt, professional and friendly. We had a small and comfortable van transport from our property to the mangroves, about 1 hr 45 minutes from Jaco. The boat ride was great, saw so many monkeys—-they hopped onto the boat and I wondered if they sre becoming too tame around people?

Company gets a 3star but guide deserves 5 stars - Communication was poor with the operator. They changed our time to later and we had to wait for an hour for other visitors which turned a four hour tour into 5.5 hour tour running into meal time. The walking tour about plants before the boat tour was also little too much in the heat although very interesting. However the tour guide, Memo, was great. He was very knowledgeable and catered to my four year old grandson who was able to feed the monkeys.

Not worth it…. We were... - Not worth it…. We were hoping that we got Alex but we didn’t. I forget the guides name who we got. We only saw a couple of monkeys because a woman on a separate tour was feeding them bananas. Had her tour not been there we wouldn’t have seen any. This was our only disappointing tour in Costa Rica.

Long ride from Jaco - We had 2 hours in a van (one hour each way) that we were not aware of. We waited for another group, then toured their farm before the boat ride. Our guide was great, but only saw 2-3 monkeys. Make sure and wear a hat!
