Very Memorable experience! - 5 out of 5! Snorkeling and seeing some fish and sharks was definitely a highlight but the island is so beautiful and the Pina coladas are too! Great guide and host, everyone even sang me happy birthday and served me cake with a candle to blow out! Epic!

Very complete journey - On my trip I had the option to personally arrive at the pier, in which they offered me super safe parking since these are part of the hotel, the restaurant where we could have breakfast treated us super well portions and the food was excellent, the bathrooms they offer us are very clean and quite large have 4 showers 4 dressing rooms and 4 toilets so you have to take into account that upon arrival of the tour are several people and you will have to wait a little outside that the hotel has pools and green areas so you have nice views. When taking the tour the staff guys were very friendly showed up, explained us how it would be the transposability of the trip and the stops to make as they not only take you to the island but they take care that you know and have an incredible experience, at first the weather was not very favorable as it was raining, however we understand that the weather conditions can not be controlled also the guys did their best because the trip was comfortable, the clean boat and the best of everything that the guide Brayan gives us the best explanation of the tour with very complete information of the flora and fauna, when arriving to the island they gave us recommendations and an explanation about how everything is handled on the island (bathrooms, beach chairs etc.) this helps us since being the first trip we did not understand that there was on the island, the snorkeling was the best team in good condition and very clean, me and my partner impressed as you can see everything a little, after the instructions by the staff we could appreciate sea snakes among rocks, hedgehogs a lot of variety of starfish, I loved it as being there a band of fish medium pass under me which is a unique experience. The snorkel is 30 min once all in the water enough to explore. Excellent food, beautiful island views. Back to the pier we could appreciate the largest sailboat in the world that told us that at night it looks more incredible what I liked about all this is that before arriving to the island and back to the pier they also show you many areas and explain everything while you see them, we could not see spider monkeys but if we saw herds of dolphins jumping. If you ask me, I'd make the trip with Mardy Tours again.

I highly recommend it. - The Mandy Tours team was very organized throughout. Guide Brandon has a very good vibe, he is perceived to enjoy what he does. We ate delicious and very hearty. The island is beautiful, we went on Monday so we were told it was good day because it was quieter than on the weekend. During the tour we snorkeled, saw spider monkeys and even dolphins.

Great experience- would love more snorkeling ♥️ - Well organized, friendly and pleasant tour. If you want to to go Isla Tortuga this is the best way. We had 30 min to snorkel a great area near a tiny nearby island and then spent the day on IT which doesn’t have the best snorkeling due to low visibility from boat activity. Would be great if it could be possible to do a second round of snorkeling in the good area but otherwise this trip was perfect. The food and drink was much appreciated! Once you’re on the island you can rent a chair or pay for other activities. We saw lots of fish, birds, dolphins on the ride back and monkeys. Thanks for a good time!!

Detailed information from the tour - We had a fantastic experience with Mardy Tours. Our journey began at their marina in Puntarenas, called Muelle Turístico. Initially, we were scheduled to be picked up by boat at our hotel, Puerto Azul Hotel (a great place to stay), but due to the tide, they asked us to meet at the port instead. The port was only a few minutes away, and parking cost $15. We waited near the restrooms at the port until around 8:15 a.m. before boarding a medium-sized, comfortable boat that could accommodate about 30-40 people. The boat doesn’t have restrooms, so be sure to use them beforehand. The ride was fast and enjoyable, with stops along the way to Tortuga Island. Our first stop was to spot dolphins, and later we paused to see spider monkeys. After about an hour, we arrived at Tortuga Island. Those who didn’t want to snorkel stayed on the island, while the rest of us remained on the boat and headed to a nearby coral reef for about 30 minutes of snorkeling. The water was warm, and the marine life was stunning. Once we finished snorkeling, we joined the others on the island to relax. Chair rentals were available for $20 (for two chairs). The island also had a gift shop and several stands offering drinks, including fun options served in coconuts and pineapples. Lunch was served around 12:30 p.m. in a dedicated picnic area, featuring a traditional Costa Rican meal of rice, beans, salad, and meat. After lunch, we had more time to unwind on the beach before departing at 3:00 p.m. The return ride was quick and offered beautiful views. The guides were bilingual and very accommodating. Overall, we had an amazing time. I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect, so I hope this helps others planning a visit. Highly recommend Mardy Tours and this excursion!

Tortuga Island Snorkeling with Zuma Tours from Montezuma - We had a very great experience from Montezuma to Tortuga Island for a snorkeling adventure with the Zuma tours. The Zuma tour staff is friendly, helpful, and experienced in this tour. On our boat ride out from Montezuma we stopped to see pilot whales and a couple of Humpback whales, then off to Tortuga Island for the snorkeling, again the boat crew was very helpful getting people in and out of the water. For me the sea life at the island was good, though visibility of the water was marginal on one side and decent on the other, no corral, just bare rocky bottom. The lunch on Tortuga island prepared by the crew was very good, and the ride back to Montezuma was smooth. Of note the Zuma boat is a decent size and in very clean and safe condition, definitely a quality boat. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Time coordination needs improvement - They told us to be there by 7:30 and we did but other people only arrived after 8:30. They need to improve their time coordination.
