- Playa Punta Uva - We Will Start with a short hike where we Will take you to find sloths and many other animals in their natural hábitat , we will learn about them while we walk through the beautiful trails and scenery of the different viewpoints of punta uva.
You will hear stories about shipwrecks and real pirates of the caribbean mixed with the history of puerto viejo and Costa Rica in general.
After the hike we go back the meeting point for a small break and snack to cool down and relax a bit, then we will take the kayaks and head to the magical waters of the river where we will also see sloths but other amazing kind of wildlife too such as monkeys, iguanas, caiman, agoutis, etc…

We will embark on a learning and narrative journey through one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, all while looking for sloths in their natural habitat, learning about them and all the other amazing wildlife mixed with the puerto viejo vibe style, history, traditions of Costa Rica and much more.
You will feel amazed and renew after walking the jungle trails and kayaking a magical and peaceful river full of wildlife, jungle lush and stories about real pirates and indigenous wisdom.

Amazing experience with Alex! - We loved this experience with Alex! Alex was kind, knowledgeable of all of the nature Costa Rica has to offer and incredibly patient with us as first time kayakers. The kayaking experience was magical, and we were excited to see the sloths, monkeys and turtles!!!!
Alex did everything with a smile - and immediately I felt safe and comfortable with Alex as our guide. He has such great energy, I would 100% take my family to do this again!!!!

Worth it!! - This was such an amazing time. Out tour guide Alex was very relaxed and calm throughout that entire tour that it made us feel very relaxed as well. He is an amazing guide and showed us many animals. He let us go at our own pace and really just wanted us to have a good time. Thank you Alex! PURA VIDA

Great experience not to be missed! - Great experience I recommend 100%! Alex was a very good Guide, we could see several animals (lazy, monkeys, iguanas) and the kayak ride was beautiful. We even enjoyed the deckchairs on the beach at the end of the tour. Thanks again for everything!!

Must do tour for wildlife lovers! - Alex was a great guide, knowledgeable & friendly. We saw both 2 & 3 toed sloths (one right up close) spider & howler monkeys, toucans, turtles, an iguana in a tree and even a woodpecker in action! Lovely way to spend the afternoon - stay at the beach after and enjoy a swim. Easy to get to via tuk tuk from Puerto Viejo town to Punta Uva or you could ride a bike easily.

Laid back but beautiful tour with LOTS of wildlife on the best beach in Limon. - I ended up being the only one who signed up for this tour this day, so it was a private tour. Alex was great at spotting different wildlife- we saw two sloths and a keel-billed toucan within the first 20 minutes of the walk. We were lucky enough to see a sloth descend to the ground and walk to a new tree, and Alex was patient enough to wait and watch the whole thing. The kayaking was prettier than I expected, with super still water and lots of neat stuff to see, including lizards, spiders, and birds. Afterwards, Puntu Uva is the perfect place to hang out for a swim, with gentler water than the other beaches.

would recommend :) - I'm really happy I did the Kayak Tour. Alex was a very kind guide. It was very interesting and the atmosphere was so peaceful. We saw a few sloths, iguanas, monkeys, turtles ect. :-)

Great experience with such a great local guy - Alex is a very nice guy, a good view of the animals, complete tour is relaxed and calm. We saw a lot of Sloth‘s, Ducan‘s and Spiders as well. I fully recommend Alex‘s tour.
By the way we stayed in Puerto viejo not in Punta Uva, we came with the bicycles, absolutely no problem.

Beautiful place, lots of wildlife - My boyfriend and I went on a Saturday morning for this tour. We began with a short hike/ walk around the area to see sloths, monkeys, flowers, giant trees, and Punta Uva. We learned some about the history of the areas and the sea grapes.
We then kayaked in the Quebrada Ernesto and took a slow pace to see all the wildlife. We were lucky with a beautiful sunny day, and saw so many birds and other wildlife. It really is such a beautiful and peaceful place to kayak, and we really enjoyed it.

See sloths and other wildlife - Our guide Alex was great - a good wildlife spotter. Saw 2 toe and 3 toe sloths, turtles, bats, crabs, a hawk, and other stuff.
