Your night will include a seat in the circle for an introduction to the night sky with laser-guided description of what to look at. Binoculars will be provided to aid in finding objects. The tour includes plenty of telescope time with our large Celestron Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. The Dark Sky site is fully accessible and part of the Charlotte County Florida parks system.

Our tour location is at Hathaway Park, part of the Charlotte County Parks system. As you arrive at the park, please pull forward along the main entry drive. We will be setup in the grassy area on your left.

Fun time - The evening was very interesting seeing all the planets, the surface of the moon, nebulas and learning about how the constellations got their name. Jason was very knowledgeable and did a fantastic job showing the stars and planets using his pointer and telescope!

Great experience star gazing in Punta Gorda - It was a beautiful evening for a stargazing adventure. My husband and I took our daughter, son-in -law and two teen age grandchildren. Jason was very knowledgeable. He encouraged questions and offered to reshow us through the telescope anything we would like to see again. Amazing experience viewing through the telescope! We were also given binoculars to use in viewing the sky. My whole family thought it was a very worthwhile activity. So glad we went! The snacks and water/soda were a nice touch! Thank you, Jason!

We are all stars! Or at least made of them - Great chance to experience a lovely night sky. You forget how many stars are out there and it's always a little overwhelming, but in a good way. Seeing Saturn's rings, the beautiful blue stars of the Pleiades, and swirls of star dust nebula first-hand is a bucket list experience for sure.

Amazing experience - What an awesome experience! We got to see so much - Venus, mars, Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus, the andromeda galaxy, the Orion Nebula and so much more. There were themed snacks and chairs and Jason is so knowledgeable about everything. We are going to go again in the summer to see different stuff!

Look UP! Yes UP - We did this to help my grieving father, and we had the VERY BEST EXPERIENCE! We were as impressed with the telescope as the man presenting the event!
This is a MUST DO! Get off the beaten path, stay out late, and LOOK UP!!

What a View!! - Highly recommend!! Jason is very knowledgeable about astronomy, the myths and the legends . We enjoyed learning and viewing the planets, nebulas and my favorite...the moon!

Excited to do again a different time of year! - What an incredible experience! We saw so many celestials. The Moon, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Mars, Neptune, The Pleiades, The North Star, Betelgeuse. Two shooting stars!
I can't wait to go back during a different time of year to see & hear the Greek stories.
The pictures attached don't do the celestials justice, we could see 3 or 4 moons around Saturn, and Saturn in incredible detail.
We could see the Nebula around The Pleiades, thats a first nebula for me! His knowledge about the stories in our sky left me in awe. It was cold, they had Hot Cocoa and pun related snacks.
