A great way to see the Dominican beyond the beach! - This tour was awesome! A great way to get away from the beach & see more of the Dominican! Robinson & Tito were great and very personable. They were organized and made it an easy experience. Very worth it & we had a variety of activities- horseback riding, visiting the church, seeing a traditional market, lunch by the river, a traditional dominican house where they showed us how they make coffee/chocolate, a cigar factory, and the beach. I would suggest you bring your own water & cash for the various activities! Highly recommend!!

Book it!! - Super fun experience! Highly recommend!! My husband and I throughly enjoyed this excursion. Our tour guide Darwin was very informative and nice. He made sure we stayed hydrated the whole trip, which was super kind of him. He also went out of his way to get us all snacks since our group was hungry before it was lunchtime. We never felt unsafe during the tour while exploring. He kept track of all 8 of us within the group but also let us look around and explore, never rushing us. The authentic restaurant food was super delicious!! It was one of the biggest highlights of the tour for me. You get to horseback ride, make cigars, see how they make chocolate, see the local markets, church, school house and more… every fun packed tour compared to others.. DONT hesitant to book this: you won’t be disappointed!!

100% Worth It! - If you are looking for way to see what the DR is like beyond the resort, BOOK THIS! It’s a very eclectic and interesting excursion that allows you to see how an average citizen of the country lives. My wife and I wanted to book something like this and it totally met our expectations, it will keep you busy and having fun the whole time. Also I must mention that our guide, Wester Martinez, was fantastic!

Very informative and beautiful tour. - The tour in an air-conditioned van was very comfortable. The tour guides were excellent and told everything in understandable English. I would particularly like to highlight our driver and guide JHORA JI.

Great tour of the island with Sandy - Sandy was a phenomenal tour guide! It was great to get out into the country side. Lunch was good and we especially enjoyed the cigar demonstration. Plan for a slightly longer day but worth the trip!

Had a great time with my tour guide Mr.Robinson - I had an amazing experience with my tour guide, Robinson. My main goal was to see how locals live and experience the everyday life of ordinary people, rather than the more polished, resort-style areas—and Robinson made that possible. My group was 5 people + tour guide My tour consisted of 1. Horse riding where the locals let us ride on horses and take pictures 2. Visiting the local farmers market 3. Visiting a church where Mr.Robinson told us the history and we got to take a look inside 4. Visiting a family operating a cocoa/vanilla/coffee farm near the mountains 5. Visiting a cigar factory 6. Lunch at a small outdoors local restaurant 7. Visiting a beach Extra: Mr.Robinson let us experience the local sugar cane juice stalls where we could buy some sugar cane drinks The locals were friendly and so was our tour guide. His english was great and his driving skills even greater. He also helped me purchase stuff from the locals I had a great time with Mr.Robinson and our group. Picture is the stuff I was given/bought during my tour. Note: the pink stuff is salt that I bought from the local farmer's market. I was told it's salt, but probably won't be eating it as it may be just sodium nitrate??? But it looked cool

Most importantly, it is... - Most importantly, it is mis-advertised. It is NOT a half day excursion. We were picked up at 7:00 am and returned at 5:00 PM. This is a full day. There is no way it could've been done in half a day with all the stops they make. Franklin was an amazing guide and a wealth of information! It was very interesting and I recommend the experience IF you are fine being away from your resort for a full day. Being our 14th time in Punta Cana, we were not looking for a full day away. The rest of the customers with us felt the same way.

This tour is a rip off. You only pay for transportation and a mediocre lunch. - Although the tour guide and driver were incredible (5+ stars) this tour is not worth it. They basically charge you $95 USD for transportation + a mediocre local lunch. I've been to tours that are a third of the price in Medelline with 3 times more value. Also the car is open so you better be comfortable with the sun and winds for a long run. Also the local market was both dirty, smelly and unsafe. A police officer was following us throughout the entire market.
