• Puno - It is often said that everyone should experience the renowned Ruta del Sol through southern Peru at least once in their lifetime. Those who embark on this journey are said to be enchanted by the rich history, stunning landscapes, and delightful cuisine of the Andes. To find out if this is true, we will gather at the designated time at the bus terminal in Puno.
• Museo Litico Pukara - From the terminal, we will set off for the town of Pukara. What legacy did the ancient Andean settlers leave behind? We will uncover this by visiting the Pukara Interpretation Center, home to the famous Pukara bulls—clay figures painted in various colors that symbolize protection, prosperity, and fertility in southern Peru.

From Pukara, we will proceed to La Raya Pass, where we will pause briefly to capture photos of this breathtaking mountain pass, situated over 4,300 meters above sea level.

• La Raya Pass - After capturing the necessary photos at La Raya, we will head to a local restaurant to recharge with a buffet lunch. Following lunch, we will visit the renowned archaeological site of Raqchi. Here, we will explore the remnants of the ancient temple dedicated to the god Wiracocha, a deity whose pre-Hispanic worship is shrouded in numerous enigmas, legends, and mysteries.
• San Pedro Apostol de Andahuaylillas - After the guided tour of the Raqchi archaeological park, we will travel to the village of Andahuaylillas to visit the church of San Pedro Apostle. Did you know it is referred to as the Sistine Chapel of America? Do you think this is an exaggeration? Just wait until you see the interior of this magnificent temple!

After eleven hours of exploration, we will conclude the Ruta del Sol by dropping you off at the arrival point.
