Amazing floating island insight! - Amazing trip to meet the families who live on the islands. Lovely to learn about their history and culture. They welcomed us into their homes for an insight into their daily lives and the guide explained in detail how the small islands, usually big enough for 3 to 4 homes, are constructed and maintained. Overall a great trip and would highly recommend!

Must do trip in Puno - We had an excellent time on our tour. We were picked up promptly from our hotel and taken to the boat which was a fast 10 min car ride. Pepe our captain and tour guide was fantastic. He gave us so much information on the Uros islands and the communities that live there. We met a local family and they showed us their way of life. While there were items to buy they were a good price and you weren’t made to feel you should. We paid the extra 20 soles per person to go on the traditional boat. The 9am tour was a perfect start to the day.

Peaceful and informational. Inspirational! - Our guide was very informative and introduced the families on the island sharing the presentation. The families welcomed us to watch as they maintained their island with reeds and strengthening the areas where they work. We did the private tour so it was very peaceful and relaxed.

Uros Islands at sunset - I booked a private tour departing at 4pm. Everything was punctual and accurate. Communication with the organization was immediate and simple via whatsapp. There is also a convenient pick-up and return to the hotel. The boat was in very good condition and spotless. Our guide and captain was precise in telling us information about Puno, the lake and the people of the Uros Islands. He spoke in Spanish and English. At that time the lake was very quiet and just for us. No other tourist boats. The sunset light gave spectacular colors. We opted for a short stop on an island Uros where we were explained in a simple and clear way how these islands are built and how they currently live. Obviously they show you local handicrafts but they were in no way pressing for a sale. You can decide to take a ride in a local boat at an additional price. You can decide to visit another larger island but for us it was enough. I was very undecided whether or not to visit these islands because the various comments say that they are a tourist trap. Let’s say that in the way they were experienced by us it was absolutely not so. You can decide not to take pictures with local costumes and not to extend for very long times together with other tourists. Of course, the private tour has a higher cost than the collective but I repeat, done at sunset without anyone else around is priceless. Returning to the port I also saw tourist boats in suboptimal condition.

Lake Titicaca tour - Hugo and crew did an excellent job showing us around Lake Titicaca. He did a wonderful job explaining the history and local customs, we visited with a local Uros family and had a delicious lunch. Highly recommend using this same group for a private tour.

Did not disappoint - Pepe was our guide and he was really knowledgeable about the area and the history of the floating islands. His English was amazing too. On the way to the islands he explained the history of the lake which was interesting. The first island was a small traditional island with a full demonstration of how the islands are built, maintained and the day to day life of the locals. We were able to see inside the houses and the locals offered to dress us up in their clothing which was cute. They have stalls of souvenirs if you wish to buy and there is no pressure at all which is nice. Second island we visited was the biggest and more for tourists with a cafe etc but still nice to visit. We had a beautiful sunset over the mountains too. Highly recommend this tour as you will not be disappointed.

Well organized tour - Uros is unique and a must-visit for any tourists coming to the area. Our tour was well organized. Most of the time spent during this tour was at a small floating village where we got to interact with a charming young couple that lived on the reed platform and raising a family there. Our guide was knowledgeable and quite helpful.

Bazaar - We visited two Uros islands and were able to have a little insight into everyday life. First and foremost, however, it was about us as much Uros art as possible to turn on and sell an additional tourist boat tour.
