Loved it!! - This was a great experience from beginning to end! Beto picked us up in a van with AC and we had a nice conversation with him while we went to another stop. He kept the entire bus entertained for the whole drive. The ranch was so cute and you’re immediately greeted by some dogs that love to be pet, and wonderful views of their agave fields, horses, and patio area with open bar overlooking the greenery and river. They had paintings for sale from a local artist displayed throughout the area and a room for tasting some very smooth homemade tequila and assorted flavors of liqueurs, all for sale. We were each assigned a horse and given a quick run through of how to handle them, which was so easy and the horses were very well trained and calm. The entire ride was peaceful going through the mountains, rivers, and ending up at some stairs ascending into the mountain in order to get to a beautiful secluded waterfall! We had the opportunity to take some pictures and others did a quick dip in the water. This part was only about 10-15 minutes. The hike itself was a good amount of steps and needed a small amount of physical activity to complete, but it was worth it, and the dogs followed us on the whole trip! When we came back, others in our group prepared for zip-lining and ATV tours, which looked really fun too and I wish we signed up for the combo! We were given a really refreshing margarita in a cantarito and some ingredients to make our own pico de gallo. After this, we took our drink and went to the back to meet a couple of the workers and how they made the handmade tortillas over a mesquite grill. We were then served a full plate of chicken and beef fajitas, beans, rice, guac, molcajete salsa, chips, and the fresh tortillas with our own pico! This food was AMAZING! The meats were so juicy and all sides were great to add to the tortillas like a taco! I should have asked if I could take some tortillas back home! We drank another margarita and relaxed before getting back into the van for the ride home. Beto was so kind to take us even closer to where we were staying than the pick up spot. This was a great experience and you could tell all the workers love doing this and we felt so welcomed the entire time. By the time we got home, we were definitely tired! Worth every penny!

Horse back, zip line and Atv riding. - Everything was as advertised, fun for most people. The staff, driver was helpful and friendly. If you are going to hike up to the waterfall and are in less than normal physical condition, you may struggle or wish to skip that part of the activity. Very happy with this tour, fun for most ages above 12.

Great Experience - Our driver was absolutely amazing! He was also our main guide on the tour! Made the lunch and Tequila tasting so cool as well as seeing the tortillas being made. Even though we went during the dry season (didn't know that) the trail was still so unique and the spared us the hike to the waterfall since it was dry. Overall, wonderful experience!

My favorite tour in Puerto Vallarta - This was my favorite tour during my vacation in Puerto Vallarta. Our tour guide was very friendly and made us all feel very safe while writing the horses, which were very gentle. The staff at the restaurant were so accommodating and never allowed our Margarita glasses to be empty! Also, the food was top-tier. This was an excellent value, not to mention, they pick you up and drop you off.

Good experience, would do... - Good experience, would do it again!
Our guide picked us up on time and then it was an hour and fifteen minutes drive out to the ranch. Our guide told us about restaurants and other spots along the way. The ride was cool, as we went through a first and stream bed and then went for a hike to a waterfall at the end. It was pretty hot, so dress accordingly. Afterwards we had a nice lunch at the ranch and then they dropped us off at our starting location. My house was a little moody, but the rest were nice and calm.

Great Experience - I cannot say enough good things about this experience. We went with our family and were not experienced with riding horses whatsoever... but they did a great job with helping us on and off the horse, showing us how to steer (although we did not even need to as the horses knew the trail by heart) and they were SO attentive.
The ride does go over a rocky trail and that can seem scary but the horses are used to it and navigate it with no issues. It was a beautiful ride where we got off and hiked to the waterfall. Be prepared for the hike as it is steep in some areas and wear good shoes that won't slip. But it was awesome once you get there.
After the ride back we went to eat, we were given drinks and they had stuff for each person to make their own pico de gallo, and then we got to enjoy a delicious meal where we were able to see tortillas be made. There was also a nice little tequila tasting, which was DELICIOUS.
Overall I would say this was the best thing we did on our trip, and my whole family agrees. Well worth the money and definitely something we will do again :)

Beautiful Horse Ride and Scenery - The experience begins with a 45-minute ride to the ranch, followed by a beautiful horseback journey through tough terrain — including multiple river crossings. However, there is very little instruction provided on how to ride a horse.
During the ride, my horse got too close to another and was kicked, which caused both the rider in front of me and myself to lose balance and hang on tightly to avoid falling. Afterward, the guide mentioned that I could have directed my horse to keep more distance — something I wish I’d been told earlier.
That said, the ride to the waterfall was absolutely stunning and a memory I’ll cherish forever. The lunch afterward was also delicious.

Untrustworthy - Include some fine print - Make sure you consider the season in your decision to do this tour. I went in April, which is during the dry season. I had no idea, however of the sad, sorry state in which I would find the mountains. Having been through the jungles of the beautiful Sierra Madre several times before, I was really looking forward to taking a journey on horseback and enjoy a refreshing dip in the waterfall. What I experienced was a far cry from the marketing photo on the tour listing page. We crossed 20 rivers, all of which were dry as dust. There was no canopy to provide shade as the tree leaves were all dried and shriveled. There were a lot of cows and goats up there and you could see their ribs they were so undernourished. The place was so dry that a very large tree fell down behind our group startling the horses. Our rear tour guide came within a few arms lengths of losing his and his horse's life. It was not safe to be out there with trees falling. We tied up our horses and made the very, very challenging hike to the waterfall. Normally, with a hike like that, you receive the payoff of a lovely dip in a waterfall. The waterfall, unfortunately was dry as dust. I could see how it will be beautiful after the rainy season but there was nothing to enjoy on this trip. I was so upset. The company could have done the courtesy of including a disclaimer about the dry season but they withheld that information and took our hard earned money. The second disappointment was that the advertised "cooking class" never happened. I envisioned my group sitting down to a meal together but that didn't happen as they split up the group and took most of them away for some add-on activities. I'm sure this tour is great in October. Had the company provided a disclaimer about dry season and off-season, I would not have signed up for that particular tour on that trip. I just feel it's very dishonest dealings and it sours my trust in them.
