Had a blast on hiking to these waterfalls! - This hike was so fun! Alex was an amazing guide! He's so friendly and experienced and showed us lots of cool stuff in the jungle! If you want to go to the further waterfalls, it's a challenging journey but fun and worth it (but I would only recommend the continuation for an experienced hiker). Such a great day!

Great guide, great hike! - Second time we got an awesome tour with Juan. We were very happy to see him again. We initially went on the 6 beach hike with him, which was amazing. He's informative and does his best to make sure we are treading carefully and safely. The waterfall was beautiful and well worth it. I would love to come back someday and see it during the wet season.

Our hike with Victor was amazing - Our hike with Victor was amazing! We took a quick bus to the trailhead (where a little spot-eyed dog decided to join our adventure) and we began. Victor's warmth, humor, and deep knowledge of the area made the experience unforgettable as he pointed out native plants, wildlife, and shared the region's history. The emerald-green waterfall was the perfect spot to cool off before we climbed to a lookout deck with a beautiful view of the jungle meeting the bay. We're so glad we booked this-just minutes from our resort, it felt like a hidden gem. You could hike this on your own, but having a guide who truly loves the land made all the difference. This is the perfect way to start a morning in PV, and I highly recommend it for nature and hiking lovers.

Our terrific hike to the Maria waterfall with Diego. - Diego was the best. He was very knowledgeable about the area and the jungle vegetation. He kept us all together even when my boyfriend and I were lagging. He found us a nice little water pool to wait and rest while the others climbed a steep grade for a beautiful view. He was so personable and helpful (carrying my beach bag). We recommend Diego highly!!!

Good waterfall hike! - Fun trip in the hills above the city. We were guided by friendly and helpful Diego on our walk. The first half carried us from the main highway past construction and some private property. We saw and heard numerous birds, including at least 2 chachalacas! On the hike in to the waterfall area we could tell that in the rainy season parts of the path must be impassable. The trail is rocky but not overly challenging if you are in reasonably good shape. The water at the pool was very refreshing and its clarity was remarkable. We rested and relaxed in the water, passing on the opportunity to go to another water fall, accessible only by rock and rope climbing. Several of our party used goggles to get clear views of the pool. On the way back we climbed up to a viewing platform observing the bay and many birds gliding. Throughout, Diego was informative and encouraging!

Good hike for a low cost! - The hike was a good value. The waterfall was beautiful. We saw interesting animals, bugs, and plant life. Victor, the guide was on time and very knowledgeable. Five stars for Victor! Reason for 4 out of 5 stars. There was lot's of construction going on at local resorts as well as some trash left behind by other tourists. This is obviously not on the tour group. Just be advised this is not an "inclusive jungle experience". It's evident the whole time you are walking next to a construction site.
