Fantastic tour & great guide - We booked this tour through our resort, and were very happy with how convenient the experience was. We were picked up directly from our hotel, and our guide Diana gave us an overview of PR history and geography in the 45 min drive to El Yunque. While some of the planned trails were inaccessible due to the impacts of hurricane Erin the weekend before our tour, Diana did an amazing job adapting the route and made sure we had a great time. She was also so talented at spotting plenty of wildlife! We ended the tour with swimming and had a quiet ride back to the city. 10/10 would recommend!

Perfect day - Luis is the best! An immersive excursion into the rain forest, pointing out to many animals hiding in plain. He was extremely knowledgeable and patient and certainly never a dull moment . It makes you appreciate the El Yunque to a much more profound level. 6/5 stars.

I learned so much - We had Luis and he was great. He really knew the biodiversity of the forest and took his time on the hike to share a variety of bugs, snails, and unique plants. Definitely a good tour if you want to have a better understanding of the rainforest.

Fantastic tour! - Luis was a fantastic and engaging tour guide. You can clearly tell he lives this island. He wanted to tell us all about the many critters in the island rainforest and took his time to explain things.

Best experience, overall Amazing! - Earlier in the morning, Luis texted us about the pick-up, which was so helpful. Then we started our tour. He ensured everyone in the group was okay during our hike, taking us to a place where we would pick different foods. He explained a lot of important things about Puerto Rico, plus helping us with pictures was a plus. Thank you so much for a wonderful Day Luis.

El Yunque Rainforest Hike - Book with Confidence - So glad that we took the recommendation of our hotel concierge and booked the El Yunque Rainforest HikingTour with Puerto Rico Tour Desk. Our guide, Luis, was exceptional! From the basics, such as transportation and logistical communications, to the rainforest hike itself, Luis exceeded expectations. The hike was moderately intense, but we went at a comfortable, leisurely pace that allowed us to really experience and appreciate the biodiversity of the rainforest. Luis introduced us to birds, flowers, snails, lizards, and much more. I wouldn’t hesitate to book another tour with this company, and I’d definitely ask for Luis to be my guide. Great experience!

Wonderful rainforest experience - Great experience. Exploring the rainforest was on my wife’s bucket list, and it did not disappoint. Luis our guide was a skilled communicator and leader. We were confident all was happening as it was supposed to, starting with an early text from Luis. We all stayed together and on time. Luis gave good information about the physicality of the event and let us each enjoy the experience as we were able. Learned a lot and enjoyed our tour guide’s knowledge, good eye for detail, and well considered ideas about nature and our interactions with it. Highly recommended.

Loved the hike to the tower on Mt. Britton trail! - So glad my daughter and I chose the Rainforest Hike on Mt. Britton trail over other options for El Junque Rainforest. Our guide, Luis, was excellent. The view from the tower at the top was outstanding. We saw lots of lizards, geckos, snails and the amazing rainforest plants. PIckup and drop off was super easy. Would definitely do this again on a return trip.

Great home for families with children - We really enjoyed this excursion. We went with our 4 and 7 year old and this one was perfect for them. It started with a ride in a van from our hotel to El Yunque. Then, we did a hike through the rainforest (about 45 minutes loop). We got to see a river, but could not do any swimming (which I hear the water is cold anyway). Then, we drove to a beautiful lookout point. Then, we stopped at some food huts on the way back for some local treats (about 30 minutes). The tour guide was very knowledgeable and great at pointing out wildlife we may have missed, but he was a bit preachy which rubbed me the wrong way. Overall, great experience though.
