Admire the coastal panorama, the historic bay of Puerto Plata and the city from above. - Mount Isabel de Torres - See the emblematic Christ the Redeemer statue on Mount Isabella, take souvenir photos with this symbol of Puerto Plata, and then explore the astonishing botanical garden. Immerse yourself in the lush exotic nature full of tropical trees, vines, lianas, ferns and flowers. Meet the park’s inhabitants: birds, lizards, koi carp and turtles. At the open-air museum, check out Dominican cuisine and typical crops: cacao, coffee, banana trees and more.
- Macorix House of Rum - Rum is one of the Dominican Republic’s important export products. Visit the Macorix rum factory, observe the oak barrels in which the beverage is aged, and watch a video that tells the story of this iconic Caribbean liquor. Taste different types of rum and liqueurs made from sugar cane juice. Learn to distinguish between the different types of rum.
- Catedral San Felipe - Here we will begin our walk together through the old town of Puerto Plata. We will explore the main square, the cathedral of the city’s patron saint, St. Philip, the city hall and the prettiest streets in the area - Umbrella Street and Pink Street. At the end of the tour there will be free time for individual exploration.
- Umbrella Street - Umbrella Street has become one of Puerto Plata’s biggest attractions. In addition to a great outdoor area for photos, it offers souvenir and jewelry stores with amber and larimar, a cigar manufactory, a café and typical Dominican street food.
- Paseo de Dona Blanca - Paseo de la Dona Blanca is commonly referred to as Pink Street because of its intense color. The place commemorates the oldest hotel in Puerto Plata, founded in the 19th century by an Italian woman named Dona Bianca. Recently, it’s a recognized photo spot and an absolute must see in Puerto Plata :)
- Parque Central Independencia - Explore Puerto Plata’s historic center - the main square, surrounded by colorful colonial houses. Experience what is typical of the city’s Victorian style in architecture. There will be free time here to take photos, shop for souvenirs, and sample artisanal ice cream, Dominican coffee or fresh coconut water.

- Malecon Puerto Plata - Explore the picturesque Malecon waterfront boulevard during a panoramic drive. See the city’s beaches, charming pier, colorful fishing boats. Admire the city’s art: murals depicting symbols of Puerto Plata and the Dominican Republic, and a statue of Neptune, the god of the sea, standing on a rock amidst the ocean waves.
- Fortaleza San Felipe - Puerto Plata is one of the oldest European cities in the New World, and owes its existence to a harbor bay discovered by Christopher Columbus himself. Explore the historic promontory of La Puntilla with its 16th century St. Philip’s Fort, lighthouse and scenic amphitheater. Explore the fort and enjoy views of the open ocean, the bay with its passenger ship terminal and the monumental Mount Isabella.
