Fun time in the DR - Great tour and so much fun! We made two stops, one for coffee and souvenirs and the other at the beach. The tour guides were very nice and picked us up on time. We both enjoyed the sights of the city. I would definitely do this tour again!

Rainy day private buggy ride - A private rainy day buggy ride through the jungle & on the beach was way more than I could have imagined. So much fun and the tour guide & paparazzi was spectacular. Definitely a five star business. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amazing ride - The buggy tour was amazing! We had so much fun. The guide was very nice. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a fun activity to get dirty. Don’t forget to dress appropriately, you will definitely be covered in mud and water.

TO DO AGAIN - For those who are not afraid of getting dirty the trails are great, I really loved it, we will 100% go back! The staff accommodates people, that is to say you like it more relaxed he will respect your choice you want to go all out he will… the photographer what can I say.. I had no choice in buying the photos it was so CRAZY!!! Negative point, benches are not comfortable but when you live the moment you forget the discomfort. Bring a spare kit for the return (which you leave in your car or others) You have access to an outdoor shower that is not closed but a closed bathroom, it also has a bar, water, beer, etc. To go there, water shoes, clothes that you are not afraid of getting dirty, stain for long hair, DEFINITELY BRAIDED, sunglasses or solid protection, on site they offer a really cheap bandana otherwise travel light for the excursion do you bring money to eat at the beach REALLY GOOD cheap it also has a little gift shop on the way I highly recommend it 🥳

Super Super Fun, But a Little Sketchy as Well - Super, super fun. Started off a little sketchy though. Meeting point says Cruise Port. No time. We reached out when we had WiFi and the tour operator said he’d pick us up at 11:00 am “by the railway.” Well, apparently, nobody knew where the “railway” was. I speak Spanish, so I felt like I had multiple additional options to ask around, but no luck. Then a photo arrived via WhatsApp of a train engine statue. We began showing that around and received 3 different directions to travel. After about 40 minutes of walking around, the tour operator sent a pin with Google Maps that we could follow. It was quite far from the cruise port. We had to pass the taxi station at the end of Taino Bay. Across the street is a place where “outside” tours can pick up. When the officials there asked who we were with and saw our WhatsApp communications, they summoned a police officer and three of them accompanied us to confront our tour operator who was hanging out at a nearby park (the "railway"). After a tense confrontation, the officials let us know that this was a legit tour operator, just bending rules and told us it was safe to get in the SUV he came to pick us up in. After about a 20 minute drive, we arrived at the lot where the buggies were stored. Then, off to driving all around on muddy roads and getting ourselves literally caked from head to toe in mud. So much fun! They have a few upsell moments that include stopping at a store off the beaten path, another store on the beach for about a half hour, and then taking photos throughout that you can purchase at the end to have emailed/texted via WhatsApp. Other than a very tense and awkward start at the pickup, the excursion itself was a great choice for something unique to do in Puerto Plata.

Scammy Tour Operator - Tour operator changed pickup time the night before the excursion. He wouldn't even acknowledge that he was doing that. We were concerned about getting back to the ship on time. Which started a big mess. He said he would have to pay our costs if we missed the ship. I called Viator and they said they don't have a provision like that. We asked for a refund multiple times. The tour operator would not respond to those requests. We didn't feel comfortable trusting anything they said so we cancelled the excursion and since they waited till right before the excursion to tell us, they get to keep the money. A nice little scam they have going there. My take away, do not trust your vacation to tour operators on Viator. Stick to doing tours only with the cruise line. That way you have recourse if issues arise.
