Best activity of the vacation - Seriously the best activity on this vacation! The walk up to the waterfalls is not easy, uphill and lots of stairs, but totally worth the work out once you get to the top. I have never seen such amazing waterfalls. The natural slides and the jumps were the best part. I could have spent all day here. Great facility that has everything you could possibly need, helmet, life vest, water shoes. We even had a photographer come w us (offered by the company) so we have a ton of amazing photos to take back with us. If you are in the area this is a must do activity!

Very fun day! - We had a great time on this hike/river downstreaming adventure. Our guide/photographer Giovanni was great as well as our private driver Luis. They took us to a local restaurant on the way back to the ship.

Wonderful trip with a great guide! - This was the best experience of our cruise. The company was very professional and communication was excellent. Our driver/guide was prompt and efficient and kept us laughing the whole trip from the cruise port to the waterfalls. The walk up took around 30 minutes and the water was refreshingly cool after the humidity of the walk. The guides were very helpful during the descent and our group had a great time. They offered professional photos for $45 per group but we had a waterproof case for the camera and took our own photos. Our driver/guide suggested a restaurant near the port for lunch afterward and the food was good. They were lower priced than the cruise excursion and extremely professional. I highly recommend booking with them for your tour.

Amazing time in DR! - Luis was absolutely amazing! We were so impressed by his prompt communication, personality and willingness to share more about his country. We paid about half the cost of a shore excursion through the cruise line and had our own personal taxi and guide. We paid the $45 at the falls to have the photos and were so pleasantly surprised that we had a personal photographer for our time there. He also made sure we went ahead of the large groups. Totally worth the $45 to us! Afterwards, Luis took us to a restaurant downtown which was the best food of our whole trip and incredibly cheap.
We loved the time so much we are considering switching up our annual cruise to a week in the DR and having Luis be our guide for the whole trip. Worth every single penny! We felt incredibly safe during the whole excursion and even leaving our belongings with Luis. Thanks for an amazing time!! We can’t wait to travel back to the Dominican Republic.

This is a strenuous excursion. Be prepared for that. Otherwise, awesome guides, beautiful and fun adventure! - We had a rainy day to start, but the views on our way up were still very nice. The guides were excellent and took very good care of us. I will warn you immediately: This is a very strenuous hike if you are out of shape. I am and I’m also from Florida now and forgot what it was like to climb up a mountain. I actually only got to the last falls. The others in my group continued to the top, but I didn’t make it, so one of the guides broke off and took me back down a bit and onto the trail people walk out on. It was still quite a hike, but very pretty and it was more like what I could manage. My pedometer made me feel a little vindicated when I saw my mileage for the day. I was not alone; a lady way bigger and even less suited for this excursion than me, had apparently done the same thing I did, only she actually needed to take a mule back to the parking lot. I did pass that mule on the trail and asked my guide why there was a mule tied up in the middle of the jungle and he told me it was the mountain ambulance. I thought he was kidding. Uh, no. Not kidding. It was used for that exact purpose; to get that lady back to the main entrance for medical attention. They also had trained EMTs, too, so they take this trip very seriously. But, even though I only got to the last falls, I still enjoyed the trip. It was quite memorable, LOL 😆 The other people in my group and I met up and they told me they liked the last one best because it had a jump and natural slide on it. Awesome! At least I got there. So, other than over-estimating my own abilities, which was totally my fault, I did still enjoy this excursion and would tell my friends to do it. The excursion company and guides were very professional and prepared the whole way. Thanks, guys.
