Jamell is great! - Jamell provided an excellent tour of the countryside and Puerto Plata city. His knowledge of the area is unmatched and guided our varied-aged private group so that all interests were met. He also took us to quality shops. I so highly recommend this tour with Jamell!

Fantastic way to tour Puerto Plata - Wonderful day of exploring Puerto Plata! Our tour guide Juan Carlos spoke clear English and had a rich knowledge of the area and history. We got to see all the major attractions and have time for the beach. From talking to others on our ship who did tours with other companies our trip covered more sights snd provided us with much more history and knowledge. Was very nice being a small group tour.

A beautiful experience - If you’re looking for a trip that combines adventure, beauty, and a sprinkle of humor, look no further than our island tour with Jamell! From start to finish, he made the whole experience feel like a walk in paradise—except we were driving, not walking, because his driving was so smooth I thought we were gliding through air. I mean, I can’t say the same about the locals on mopeds, but hey, at least we didn’t become part of their “riding history.” Jamell was more than just a guide—he was like a walking encyclopedia wrapped in a warm, friendly personality. Seriously, I don’t think there was a single question we asked that he couldn’t answer. We visited the stunning butterfly garden, sipped on the finest hot chocolate (note: it was SO rich, it might have been illegal in some states), coffee, and wine. The staff at each stop made us feel like family. And I’m talking about the real kind of family—like the ones you actually want to hang out with at Thanksgiving, not the ones who judge you for taking too many slices of pie. Jamell also took the time to walk with us, pointing out the best spots for photos. The man is basically a walking photography scout, ensuring we got all those Instagram-worthy shots while making sure we never felt rushed. He made us feel relaxed and free to enjoy the island at our own pace. I’m already planning my next trip—and this time, I’ll be bringing my friends and requesting Jamell by name. If you’re lucky enough to have him as your guide, you’ll be in for a trip that’s both enlightening and a lot of fun. Highly recommend!

Great tour and better tour guide - I decided to take my mom and aunts on this guided tour and it worked out perfectly. Our tour guide Jamell, was perfect. Showed us everything the island had to offer, and even took us to a local Dominican restaurant. There was something for everyone to enjoy. We will definitely be using them again in the future.

Highly recommend - This is one of my favorite excursions…city tour. Jamaal was an excellent driver and stellar tour guide. He gave us some great tips regarding what to expect and suggested stops for our itinerary. We previewed a butterfly house, tasted hot cocoa, coffee, and Mamajuana, watched the craft of cigar making, shopped, ate fresh mango, toured the popular spots of the city, explored the fort, and took a short walk on the beach. Jamaal was very aware of the timing as well; which made us feel at ease.

Amazing City Tour - Such an amazing experience from start to finish. First, Doug was very nice and answered all of our questions about the excursion. Our driver Rolando is the best! He was extremely funny and personable, making my family and I relaxed and comfortable. He was very knowledgable and gave us a lot of information about the island. It was a very authentic experience. He went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. Even making sure to check on us as we were waking around.
