Worth the work! - This was a great tour. We started just outside the cruise port gate with Samuel and the driver ( sorry, I don’t remember his name, it was hard to say). Samuel was informative about the area enroute to the falls and the driver got us where we needed to be safely. Once at the site we were joined by two additional guides (Keilin and Anthony). They were helpful and made you feel safe. You are required to wear a life jacket and helmet once you get to the water portion of the trip. Getting there was a little more strenuous than we expected. To come down, you must first go up!! Steep hiking and lots of steps, the guides do stop a couple times on the way up to rest and allow slower members time to catch up. You basically hike up in single file in groups of about 20 people. There is a photographer provided by the site for an additional $55, one traveled with our group specifically for one couple and they did seem to take a lot of pictures, but I don’t know what the result of that was because I didn’t see any pictures at the end and we didn’t purchase the picture package. Make sure you have good water shoes as the rocks are quite slippery and spots. If you don’t have any, you can rent some at the site. The buffet at the end of the water portion was delicious. After we finished at the park, we had to do the obligatory stop at the local gift shop/cigar making/mamajuana shops, although you are not pressured to buy anything.

Don't contemplate, just DO IT!!! - OMG, so much fun!!! We had a great time after the short hike (in Dominican minutes 😀). The tour guides were wonderful, fun and very motivating (just remember, 5 Dominican minutes 😀). You don't have to be an expert at swimming to book this activity. You are provided a helmet and life vest to assist you with swimming or if you don't know how to swim, the tour guides will assist you so no need to disregard this activity... DO IT!!! After you've completed all five falls, lunch is served and you have the opportunity to shop before returning to your cruise ship or resort.

Amazing Experience - Be prepared for a 45 minute hike uphill in water shoes; quite the workout. If you don't want to jump or slide down the falls, choose wisely. It was an amazing experience.
