The whole excursion was... - The whole excursion was amazing. We were picked up on time from our hotel Royalton rivera. The chichen itza, cenote and the town were all worth it. We are vegetarians and we enjoyed the buffet. Rey, Victor, Raul were amazing. Only recommendations: carry 2-3 bottles of water, gatorade/electrolytes and snacks.

Impressive tour guides - Visiting Chichén Itza was a beautiful educational experience hearing history through the lens of descendants of the Mayan culture. Tony, Heugo, and Luis did an excellent job! I most definitely recommend visitors to take the opportunity to learn the expansive history of the Yucatan Peninsula. Of course, a person can not learn thousands of years of history in a day l however the tour is a great start! 🙌🏽🫶🏽👏🏽

This tour was actually 13... - This tour was actually 13 hours. Skipping the first artisan stop would have been fine- so would have Valladolid- then the tour would have been the advertised 11 hours. The buffet was fine, nothing special. The cenote- Samaal, and Chichen Itza were fantastic. Our tour guide gave a great 1 hour tour at the site and wonderful information on the bus ride, he was very knowledgeable.

Disappointing - If you are English speaking I would seriously think again if you are contemplating going on this tour with J Capital travel, the tour is about 14 hours long and the guide speaks for quite a lot of this time in Spanish, possibly advising the Spanish speaking guests of the history of Chichén Itzá and the cenotes, she only spoke in English to advise us of the basics, ie where we were going & for how long, it would have been better to have had an audio guide, I really felt we missed out due to the language barrier. Very disappointing.

Sold to Too Often - 1) They had us walk 2 miles at 5am to the pickup location saying they “could no enter our community gates” only to pick us up within our community gates 2) They were an hour late picking us up and we were in the dark in front of a 7 eleven 3) The bus squishes as many people inside as possible with no regard for adult size. My wife is only 5’4 and she was squished, as a 6’4 man it was impossible to sit comfortably on a 3 hour bus ride 4) first stop was an hour at a gift shop where they are very pushy for you to buy things. At one point we were told “no more looking, only buying”. Everyone minute spent here would have been better spend at Chichen Itza 5) Valadoid stop started with us going to a “free” tequila tasting where they just try to sell you overpriced bottles. The amount of being forced into sales pitches really rubbed us the wrong way Positives 1) Chichen Itza is as beautiful as advertised. The tour guide Paul was very knowledgeable and humorous 2) The Cenote was absolutely stunning, that may have been the highlight of the trip

Trip never got started - 14 hours before our hotel got us sick with the water. Hours of illness. Sick as hell. Refused a arefund or reschedule. Tour operator wants a "hospital note". We are old for these games. We said we were sick. We were sick. Word to the wise avoid this company and Viator.

Never picked me up after charging me extra. - Do NOT book through this app. They use third-party vendors. My tour operator refused to pick me up at the hotel after I booked extra for that, and refused to wait the extra 5 minutes a taxi would have taken. If you want to be sure of seeing what you paid for, book through your hotel, which has a more personal relationship with the tour companies!
