Lots of excursions, excellent value for money - In the three days we were at the Monte lodge, we went on 6 excursions, with my top three being a tour of Lake Sandoval, a night walk (which became a bug tour lol), and the parrot clay licks. We also went caimen spotting, stopped at monkey Island, and took a canopy walk at the lodge. We got to see lots of animals including monkeys, macaws, and river otters. The tour guides seemed very passionate about the Amazon, and they had very good english. There was a bit of disorganization around some timing, but it got figured out. The pool is nice and well maintained. It was a godsend in the heat. There is no air conditioning, so the pool saved me. Overall, I would recommend this trip to anyone wanting to experience the Amazon jungle for the first time. I wouldn't recommend staying longer than 2 nights if you're from the northern hemisphere. The heat is truly oppressive.

Amazing tour in the jungle - An amazing experience in the rainforest. It offers several activities and walks in the jungle, all equally beautiful. We discovered many species of the local flora and fauna. The lodge is confortable and the personnel is really helpful. Special mention for our guide Ronal who answered all of our questions kindly and professionally and spotted animals with his eagle eyes.

adventurous experience in the jungle - Its a nice adventurous experience in the Jungle at Tambopata river in the Monte Amazonico Lodge. The Lodge itself is very basic, partially without electicity or internet in the rooms, however both can be find in the common area and you can expect having Tarantulas or Bats in the shower as they live in the forest. The Zip Line is definitely recommended and we saw on our trip many animals: a lot of monkeys in different places, not only on monkey island, also a lot of caymans at day at night, also Capibaras at day and night, Otters and a lot of birds.

A great way to see an incredible amount of wildlife in a short time - Really just an amazing trip into the Peruvian jungle! The tour company and guides are top-notch, very friendly, and knowledgeable about the plants and animals surrounding the lodge. The facilities are basic, but not as basic as you might think on a jungle tour - there is a pool on site, the meals are delicious and plentiful, and the rooms are clean and comfortable (although no fans so it can get a little warm at night). I saw many many different animals and the night tour was one of my favorites.

Blissful stay - We've stayed for 3 days 2 nights and it was amazing experience. Best food, quiet surroundings, stargazing, beautiful sunsets. Fernandez went an extra mile to make our stay memorable. He waited for an extra hour for the fog to clear during our Parrot Lick Tour so that we can see different parrots while other boats went back. Highly recommend.

Well planned and enjoyable - We really enjoyed this tour, especially since our guide, Tito, was so good. The tours were good, though I wish we saw more on the afternoon hike in the jungle. The salt lick is not much to see since it is so far away. The meals were good. Make sure you have purified water. Accommodations were good too, though it would be good to have hooks and a flat surface in the washroom. I had to put my clean clothes on the floor before having a shower. And there were 3 of us, so no place in the washroom for personal items. A good camera is recommended!
