Puerto Maldonado – Paradise Amazon Lodge (Tambopata)
Puerto Maldonado - At 09:30 am, transportation will be arranged to Puerto Capitania. From there, a scenic 30-minute journey will lead to the secluded Paradise Amazon Ecolodge.

Puerto Maldonado – Paradise Amazon Lodge (Tambopata)
Puerto Maldonado - At 09:30 am, transportation will be arranged to Puerto Capitania. From there, a scenic 30-minute journey will lead to the secluded Paradise Amazon Ecolodge.
Upon arrival, the team will assist with the registration process. Guests will have time to relax in their Bungalows before embarking on the first activity.
Tambopata National Reserve - CANOPY WALK:
Just 200 meters from the resort, guests will head to the Canopy Tower, which stands at 35 meters. Anchored at the base of a majestic Lupuna tree, this structure showcases the vastness of the Amazon.
From this vantage point, a variety of bird species can be observed. A local expert will provide detailed insights into the region’s flora and fauna.
Tambopata National Reserve - ZIP LINING:
After enjoying the treetop walk, guests will transition to a 190-meter zipline adventure. A local instructor will brief them on safety procedures and offer tips to enhance the ziplining experience. They will also guide guests across a 100-meter bridge. Subsequently, the group will return to the starting point.
Following this exhilarating activity, guests will return to the lodge for a nourishing lunch. After the meal, they are welcome to relax in the comfort of the hammocks.
Tambopata National Reserve - KAYAK:
In the early afternoon, a kayaking adventure will commence. The team will ensure guests are equipped with all essential safety gear. For added security, a safety boat will accompany the group. Afterward, guests can refresh themselves with a swim in the cool currents of the Madre de Dios River.
Tambopata National Reserve - MONKEY ISLAND:
After the kayaking adventure on the Madre de Dios River, a 15-minute journey will lead to Monkey Island. Here, guests will encounter species such as capuchin monkeys, black monkeys (Cebus apella), and white monkeys (Cebus albifrons), among other fascinating creatures. Many of these species are quite sociable. Under the guidance of a local expert, guests will have the opportunity to approach and feed them, observing their interactions within the Tambopata National Reserve.
The plan is to return to the resort by 04:30 PM, just in time to witness the breathtaking Amazonian sunset.
Tambopata National Reserve - CAIMAN SPOTTING:
As dusk settles, a boat expedition will commence to search for both white and dwarf caimans. Their eyes, reflecting in the night, will guide the way to spot them. By 7:30 PM, guests will return to the lodge for dinner and a restful night’s sleep.
Lake Sandoval – Night Walk
Tambopata National Reserve - Awakened by the melodic calls of birds, guests will start their day in the heart of the Amazon. The team will serve a sumptuous Amazonian breakfast, featuring fresh fruit juice, a steaming cup of Peruvian coffee, eggs, pancakes, fried plantains, and other regional delicacies.
At 09:30 AM, the group will head across the river to the control station where local authorities will document the details of each visitor. From there, a three-kilometer trek to Lake Sandoval will begin. Throughout this journey, guests will be treated to sightings of diverse species, including river otters and other captivating wildlife.
Lago Sandoval - Amidst the serene backdrop of Lake Sandoval and surrounded by the lush jungle, guests will enjoy a splendid meal on its shores. Afterward, a rowboat venture to the lake’s heart will commence in search of diverse birds and wildlife.
The region is home to hoatzins, cormorants, anhingas, and the notable “playful otters”. After soaking in the vibrant life of Lake Sandoval, the group will head back to the resort.
Puerto Maldonado - After lunch, guests will be taken to Puerto Maldonado, to the airport or bus terminal according to the schedule of their flight or bus.

The Peruvian Amazon Jungle is home to a diverse range of vegetation and wildlife. The Macaw Clay Lick, the world’s biggest, is one of the must-see sites. Hundreds of vividly colorful macaws, parrots, and parakeets flock here to consume the cliff’s clay. The clay here has a unique mineral concentration that aids in the removal of poisons from the birds’ bodies.
