Therapeutic oasis outside Puerto Escondido - This was was a magical experience traveling by horseback through the most beautiful biome to sacred and healing hot springs outside of Puerto Escondido. We crossed the river 6 times on this beautiful trail to our destination (almost an hour each way). Guillermo “Willie” our guide was so patient, making sure that I was comfortable and felt safe the whole time. I was nervous at first because it had been 20 years since I’d ridden a horse. I was so grateful for the way he made me feel taken care of. The hot springs were amazing 🤩 and you could feel the healing energy in this place! There are 5 pools all with varying temperatures from warm to very hot. This place was an oasis and I thoroughly enjoyed going from the hot springs to the cool water of the creek. There are so many opportunities to capture your memories with photos because the backdrop is out of this world. I had such a special experience that I took the tour again, the next day. I felt called back to this special place. Don’t miss this experience when visiting Puerto Escondido!

What a breathtaking... - What a breathtaking experience! First, we were greeted by Carlos who will drive you to the family’s farm. He was extremely friendly, kind, and gave us a bunch of recommendations for food/places to check out. Once we arrived at the small town, the family was welcoming and efficient in getting us situated with our horses. Someone from the family guided us to the hot springs (and their 3 dogs came along with us, all super well behaved!). On the horse ride, we crossed through the most beautiful scenery ever (rivers, farms, sights of mountains, etc!!) We had ample time to relax at the Hot Springs. Made such awesome memories.

Amazing! - Amazing experience. Our driver Carlos was amazing and very knowledgeable. Took us to the town where we would be riding the horses, we met Jamie which was our tour guide and he made the experience a 20/10. Definitely would recommend.

Best horse experience in Puerto - Incredible experience! Our guide Willy was such a kind person, we appreciated his attention and care for us and the animals! Best experience in puerto and I’m glad we booked with him rather than some larger operators.

Horseback riding adventure in Puerto Escondido! - If you are ever in Puerto Escondido and are interested in a little adventure, I highly recommend taking part in this experience. I booked this horseback riding excursion for my mother and myself without knowing what to expect. My mother is a bit older and has never been on a horse before so I was quite nervous that it would be too much for her to handle but she did great and she loved every minute of it! The guide was very helpful in getting my mother situated on the horse as well as getting her accustomed to the horses movements. She struggled with her first horse, and the guide exchanged horses with her to make her comfortable. There were moments when the horses moved a bit faster than anticipated, but it was nothing that couldn't be managed. It all depends on how comfortable you feel with the horses. You will get wet crossing the river on the horse, so even if you don't plan on getting in the water at the hot springs, be sure you still plan for wet feet. The hot springs are quite hot, but they do vary in temperatures, so you'll have some options to choose from. We had plenty of time at the hot springs, so I'd recommend bringing clothes to get in the water. Lastly, the owner of Experiencias Nativas was very gracious, and he made it apparent that he cares about making sure his guests have a good experience. He offers several other trips, another of which i left a review for as well (turtle release). He was very accommodating, and I highly highly highly recommend you look into his other trips if horseback riding is too much.

Breathtaking and Amazing - An amazing experience. The horses were beautiful, the scenery impressive and the guide excellent. Highly recommended! Best experience!! Trust you won’t regret!

Truly an amazing experience - Will picked us up at our hotel and we drove to his small town where we got on some very well trained horses. On horseback we crossed the river several times and ended up at these breathtaking natural hot springs!! Will had lots of interesting information to share and there was some very scenic places to appreciate throughout this trip. Highly recommended!!

Unreal day out - We had the most incredible time on this day out. Absolute must for anyone staying in puerto escondido. So much fun and William and Nico were so helpful and accommodating to any requests on the tour, including stopping for swims along the way in the river. Highly highly recommend. The scenery was incredible as well.

Wonderful experience - Best experience. Pick up was effortless - and I was delivered back to my hotel on time. I was so overwhelmed by the beautiful scenery of the jungle. The horses were so well trained and wonderful❤️
