A very unique way to spend an evening! - This was such a fun and unique experience! The boat ride under the stars was spectacular and the phosphorssence was amazing. Our guides shared lots of stories and information and they made it easy and not at all scary to swim at night!

Once in a lifetime experience! - What a great experience. The extra cost to book the tour through Trip Advisor was worth it. We were picked up at our Airbnb in an air conditioned van and drove past all the lines, went straight to our boat, and learned so much about these fascinating creatures. We were even able to swim with them. 5 stars!

Wonderful staff and experience - Great staff to take us round trip. Beautiful experience with our 12 year old daughter. Worth the evening drive. I would highly recommend for a quick 1.5 hour evening excursion

A must do in Puerto Escondido - Mario was great, such a cool experience, would highly recommend this tour company. The owner played a fun prank on us that we got a kick out of. His driver got stuck in traffic so he rode his scooter over and said me and my husband would be joining him on the scooter. He was just letting us know the driver was running late, which was good I wasn’t about to have 3 adults on one scooter🤣. We had our own car that met up with another group on the boat. The moon was bright so there are tents you go inside to see better. So much fun

Super fun and memorable! - Our guide Mario picked my friend and I up at our hotel, and because we got there so far in advance of the other part of our group, our guide Mario took us out alone to the biobay. Swimming in the bay was amazing! Like floating in the stars. Mario was very nice and super informative. We had a great time. Highly recommend!

Hidden port excellent option - Very good Carrizillo beach with very strong waves, the bad thing is the stairs, for large people or problems walking, better visit Puerto Angelito or Manzanillo beach, night experience Bioluminisense lagoon or Chacahua lake, excellent hotel Camino del Sol

Neat experience! - It was a neat experience to go out at night and see the bioluminescent plankton. I had never experienced it before and so doing this during a vacation made it extra memorable. I signed up at the last might and the organizer was able to find a way to make sure I was able to participate as still. I would say it's a bit expensive though, since, as other reviews also mentioned, you get a van ride, and then a boat ride to the plankton. The person captaining the boat didn't speak English which I was a bit disappointed about but I guess I shouldn't complain since it was so last minute. Still glad I did it at the end of the day.

Stargazing and a little illumination - Best part was the clear milkyway(stargazing) and the illuminating water (white colors). Only downside was that is was kinda short and overpriced for what you get. Nevertheless a nice experience.

Some good parts, some could use improving. - The bioluminescent we saw were very cool and the guy who picked us up ‘Polo’ was awesome! Super friendly and helpful. It wasn’t much of a ‘tour’ though. We were picked up from our hotel and taken to a boat of other tourists that had booked elsewhere. So I guess it was more just transportation and entry onto the boat. We never actually met Roberto. It was very difficult to take any photos or videos and I was surprised that no one was offering that service to try and sell us after. Seems like a lost opportunity to make more revenue for someone. I have worked in tourism for many years so I may be more critical than most. Still a great experience though that I am glad I did.

Be sure to contact the tour operator beforehand - For starters, I did book this tour with Roberts Ecotours (BR-1093699453). I had posted that the tour was average, but to be truthful, the tour operator changed the time at the last minute and it doesn’t say that we needed to bring a towel. When we tried to contact the operator he was disrespectful and didn’t believe that we were at the meeting point and “demanded” my location. They even sent us with another tour group operator.
