Incredible whale encounters where animals are the focus! - This is our second year in a row with this tour company seeing the grey whales out of La Paz. This year, Vanessa and a driver picked up our group of 5 right on time in La Paz from our hotel and drove us to Puerto Chale, stopping for food and a bathroom break along the way. Vanessa was friendly, informative, and gave us lots of details about the regions birds and wildlife before we arrived at the small port. She gave us a small presentation about grey whales and their behavior and then took us on the boat. I really appreciate that this company is very focused on the welfare of the whales in the bay. They maintain a safe distance to the animals and only interact with those that choose to come close to their boat. We saw more whales than we could count and had several close and incredible encounters with these beautiful animals. Afterwards, we went for local lunch (the team provided vegetarian and fish-based options for our group). When we come back to La Paz I’m sure we’ll use this group again!

A wonderful day on a beautiful bay learning about gray whales - Valentina was a tremendous source of knowledge for our whale watching experience and education. We were able to see countless gray whales involved in different behaviors and settings. It was a fabulous trip with safe drivers and boat captains.

Grey whales on a sunny day! - As is usual for this time of year we had to reschedule which went very smoothly. We were picked up at our place and joined three other travelers. In short order we got to know each other as well as our marine biologist/guide Andrea. Her expertise and personality came through immediately and I knew we were in for a great day. Even though these trips are not currently regulated Andrea took a respectful approach which brought great results and will ensure continued positive interaction with the whales. An added bonus was going to our captain Jose’s home for lunch and meeting his family! It doesn’t get any better than this!

AIDA 1 Freediving course - Fit this into your La Paz stay! - Took a pool free dive beginner course with Valentina. We had been writing back and forth, and she was very responsive, giving me tips that really helped to plan my holiday. Then she bent over backwards to fit me on short notice on my last day. It was a fun and interesting experience. She shared her wealth of knowledge in an entertaining, relaxed way. Lots of AHA! moments, and new ways of perceiving your body. A steep learning curve, and motivation to keep practicing. A beautiful first step into a new world. Equipment, facilities, location, scheduling were all good, clean and professional. I'm sure I will be back for more. As a scuba instructor, I can be critical of lackluster teaching - but with Valentina, I had complete trust, and there wasn't a single thing that should have been done differently.

Wonderful whale tale by Valentina - Valentina was wonderful! She was extremely responsive, knowledgeable and helpful from the minute I reached out. We went to see the Grey Whales in a small group and had an unforgettable two hours with the whales. She genuinely cares about the marine life and made our trip extra fun. I hope I get to join Valentina on this or another activity in the future.

Incredible grey whale watching with a passionate marine conservationist! - We had an unforgettable time with Valnentina during a grey whale watching day trip. From the moment I reached out to ask about the trip to the time she dropped us off, Valentina was easy to communicate with, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and passionate about whales and wildlife conservation. Seeing the grey whales is a once-in-a-lifetime experience made even better by Valentina's commentary and passion for marine animals. Valentina treated us more like friends than clients and made sure we were comfortable throughout the day. If you are in La Paz and have a chance to take a tour with Valentina, don't miss it! We'll absolutely be back to do this experience with her again.

Genuinely an experience of a lifetime.🐋 - I was actually a bit hesitant to book this originally because I thought the whale sharks and sea lion tour would be enough. But I am SO happy I went through with this because it ended up being a huge highlight of my trip in La Paz. The gray whales are SO CUTE and playful and curious, and they literally came right up to the boat, basically bellies up, looking to be pet. It was unlike anything I have ever experienced before. On top of that, Valentina is not only incredibly knowledgeable about the whales and much of the wildlife in the area (and anything you need to know about the area in general; she gave me great recommendations for restaurants and other things to do as well and kindly answered every one of the many questions that I had lol); but her passion and dedication to providing an amazing experience & protecting/respecting the whales and all wildlife is contagious to say the least. Also, the food they serve for lunch is AMAZING and fresh and caught locally. I highly recommend this tour with Valentina - you will have an amazing time and probably remember it forever.

Best tour! - We have adventure traveled all oflver the world for 40 years this was one of the best tours. Valentina and Tyler, the owners of the academy, led the excursion. They are both accomplished whale watchers and seaman...and Valentina is educated in marine biology....the perfect combination of knowledge and hospitality! The skipper was safe and thoughtful. The whale watching was incredible....clearly one of the most prolific whale resting areas in the world....over 70 whales there for our close up experiencing. Lunch on the private beach was awesome...fresh scallop avocado and cucumber salad. If you love nature, whales and fun, you need to visit Valentina and Tyler!

Wonderful - It was a great trip. We saw whales. We swam with sea lions, watched marlin and much more. We dived in several cenotes. Valentina is a true professional. In addition to impressions, we have a lot of cool photos.

A great experience learning freediving in La Paz, BCS - Valentina at Freefall Academy is one of the most amazing instructors I have had the pleasure to learn from. She is highly professional, organized and her passion for the wellbeing of the sea is a gift to all who care about the future of the oceans. I felt 100% safe at all times going out with her and the group, safety is first with Valentina followed by her enthusiasm. It was a really fun experience!!
