Setting Sail on the Ocean Lady

The sun was just beginning to cast its golden glow over the horizon as I arrived at Puerto Calero, ready for a day of adventure on the Ocean Lady. The promise of a luxury catamaran cruise had me buzzing with excitement, and I couldn’t wait to see what the day had in store. Upon boarding, I was greeted by Sergio and Luke, the friendly crew who would be our guides for the day. It wasn’t long before the aroma of freshly prepared tapas wafted through the air, signaling that lunch was about to be served.

The spread was nothing short of spectacular. Canarian potatoes, Spanish omelette with garlic sauce, fresh bread, salad, jalapeño bites, and a cheese and charcuterie platter were just a few of the delicious offerings. Each bite was a celebration of local flavors, and I couldn’t help but indulge. As I savored the meal, I couldn’t help but think of how this experience was a perfect blend of adventure and relaxation, a true reflection of island life.

Adventure Awaits

After lunch, it was time to dive into the crystal-clear waters and explore. The kids on board were eager to try snorkeling, paddleboarding, and kayaking, and Sergio was more than happy to demonstrate how to use the equipment. Watching them splash around and discover the underwater world brought back memories of my own childhood adventures in the sea.

I took the opportunity to try out the paddleboard, gliding effortlessly over the water, the sun warming my back. It was a moment of pure freedom, a reminder of why I chose this life of adventure and exploration. As the afternoon wore on, the crew hoisted the sail, and we glided silently through the water, the wind in our hair and the sun on our faces. Lying on the nets, watching the sea rush by beneath me, I felt a deep sense of contentment.
