Beautiful enriching and zen sea trip - Superb outing where we could observe dolphins (pilot whales). We very much enjoyed the exchanges with Gonzalo who shares his knowledge very smoothly, in Spanish, English and French. Change of scenery and moment of zenitude assured!

Fabulous for small groups, excellent crew, very worthwhile - This was my second trip on the WeWhale catamaran the crew are excellent and very knowledgeable. We spotted some pilot whales during our trip, last time we were lucky enough to be joined with a school of dolphins. As previous reviews the sightings are not guaranteed. But it is a very worthwhile excursion

Highly recommended - We had a four hour sail. Sadly we didn’t see one whale or dolphin, however we appreciate these mammals are wild and do not show up for scheduled timetables. The crew however were very accommodating offering complimentary drinks and snacks. They also gave us a wealth of information on what can be seen and when. Highly recommend even though we didn’t see anywho.es or dolphins. The scenery of Lanzarote alone was worth the sail. Thanks for the experience.

E-catamaran tour with WeWhale - Great crew. It was very cold because of the weather, they had warm jackets to cover for us. After two hours of searching, we met a group of dolphins that swam with the catamaran.
All in all a great day, always recommended.

We saw whales! - A great half day out at sea with stunning views of the Lanzarote landscape and, with luck, whales and/or dolphins. Friendly, knowledgeable crew.

A naturalists whale watching trip - I read reports that this rip was expensive and at 85 euros it seems that way especially if you compare with the tourist trips with their huge numbers and emphasis on getting you out and back ready for the next trip. I took the We Whale trip from Los Gigantes in Tenerife and the cost compares well with other low number trips in the area.
Our boat had 9 paying guests plus 2 crew who were informative and great spotters - we saw both pilot whales and dolphins - we with the whales for at least 3/4 hour. Emphasis is upon a quiet approach so that the animals reman calm and the electric engines and skilled navigation both help to achieve that. And the whole trip is dedicated to whale watching - no paella, no swim under the cliffs - just nature in the wild. The company says this is the future of whale watching I really hope they are right.
Finally, the cost might exclude a family of four but if you are a keen naturalist this trip is really one for the bucket list.

Catamaran trip accompanied by dolphins. - Beautiful views.
Peace on the catamaran.
Small group of 7 people.
Dolphin approaches and magic communion without disturbing them.
Drink, dried fruit, bananas and a little souvenir offered at the end of the outing are appreciable.
Sylvia thank you for your welcome.

Fantastic experience and how all whale and dolphin watching should be done. - What an amazing day. Beautiful scenery, amazing catamaran, professional service from start to finish. The environmental ethos was a refreshing change from other boat trips we have been on, and as we scoured the sea for a glimpse of a whale or dolphin we also kept our eyes peeled for plastic waste which the team collected.
The sight of a hammerhead shark was very exciting and then later on a large pod of Atlantic spotted dolphins joined us and played around our boat for over 20 minutes. It was an exhilarating experience, and we would highly recommend the We Whale team.

A bit disappointed - Booked this trip last minute as I really wanted to see the whales and dolphins and the advert made it seem special. The boat was clean and well kept and the crew friendly and informative. We sailed out a long way and with the sea breeze and sun disappearing behind clouds quite often it did get a bit nippy out there so best to take layers in case you need to wrap up at times. Snacks and drinks were offered throughout the trip which was fab and we managed to catch the spout of a Brydes whale at one point on the way back. No dolphins seen unfortunately. I was a bit disappointed overall with the trip as the advert stated that the trip was on a silent vessel and had a hydrophone so I was hoping to listen to them during the trip even if I couldnt see them. This was not deployed at all throughout the trip and I asked a crew member on the way back about it. I was told that is only used if sat amongst a group of dolphins and they can then lower it in and let people listen. For the price of the trip (£80 each) I did expect more than just a normal whale and dolphin spotting trip when this was part of the advert and sadly didn't get it on this occasion. I can't see it being able to be used very often by the sounds of it either? Also when we spotted the whale the boat stayed very far away from it which we understood but we felt a pair of binoculars might have been more beneficial to see more of the whale in this case? We could barely see it from such a distance. The crew member had a set of binoculars to spot the whales but passengers weren't given any. This may be something the tour operator could offer if guests wanted a better view. It was a nice few hours out but we didn't feel it was worth the £160 paid. Hopefully some of the money goes to the conservation of the dolphins and whales.
