Skip the bigger touristy places and check out this farm - We were headed to an olive oil farm and thought we have found it, but our navigation was slightly off and we ended up here - THANKFUL WE DID. Chiara was a wonderful host, took time to talk about their journey, and workings of the farm, and the surrounding area. The farm is small and lovely. They have about - 3500 trees. The owners Chiara and Luca bought the abandoned place in 2020 and cleaned it up. They harvest their olives in October and November to produce a softer olive oil, and they only get a large harvest every other year -2023 was a good one. Delicious. Worth a stop! Chiara also guided us to a fabulous working Pecorino cheese dairy farm.
If you want to hang out, she also has wine and snacks.
