Informative and intimate tour - We had an amazing experience! Nicola was a fantastic tour guide. We also got to try lardo and go through old train tunnels!

Carrara is an amazing site - I was not really interested in going to see a quarry, so glad my husband talked me in to going. Nicola is a wonderful guide, he is a geologist and very knowledgeable about not only the stone and history of the quarry but also the local history. We had a great time talking with him and getting local restaurant recommendations

A really well designed tour with a great host - A really well-crafted experience, Nicola offers you a fascinating and informative tour of two sites, giving you a good idea of what marble quarrying used to look like and how the industry has changed without ever overwhelming you with overly technical details. With no one else on my tour, this left me plenty of room to ask questions and chat with Nicola, who's clearly a knowledgeable, considerate, and friendly guide. Definitely recommend!

Top tour in Italy - Friendly, Knowledgable, Fun! - If you only have time to take one tour on your vacation, this is the one you should take! Being on a tour with Nicola was like taking a tour from a local friend. He is extremely nice, professional, but most of all knowledgeable. Since the tour was so intimate, it gave us the opportunity to ask tons of questions, to which he had an answer for every one. I would absolutely recommend this tour to all of my friends and family visiting Italy.

Time travel - We visited the quarries guided by the legendary Nicola. A real history and geology lesson, but enriched with anecdotes and exciting life stories. Accompanying us to the most unique places in the quarry (or rather quarries), he literally transported us through time and space, giving us a unique experience. Last but not least, in Colonnata he took us to taste an excellent lard and introduced us to a special person who represents a piece of the country's history. A competent and prepared guide always makes the difference!

Nicola quarry tour is Amazing! - April 2024 Nicola was our driver and guide. He was exceptional!!! This was an incredible experience. My wife and I along with a friend throughly enjoyed it. Nicola is brilliant and answered all of our questions and gave us a great understanding of history of the quarry. It was worth the cost!!
