More Than a Tour – A Don’t Miss Experience - The Auckland Urban Māori Experience was so much more than a tour—it felt like becoming part of a family. Louisa and Ama made the experience unforgettable. Their warmth, openness, and storytelling turned what could have been just a cultural tour into something deeply personal. They welcomed us not as tourists, but as guests—friends—and by the end, it felt like we were part of something bigger, something shared. The true highlight was connecting with them and the local community leaders. We visited meaningful local spots, took in stunning artwork, and heard stories of struggle, resilience, hope, and dreams. It was a powerful reminder that every land holds a story, and every community carries a journey. This experience helped us understand and feel that in a way that was real and lasting. This isn’t the tour for those chasing quick snapshots or viral photos—it’s for travelers who want something deeper. If your goal is to connect with local Māori on their land, to share a conversation, a meal, a moment—then this is a don’t-miss opportunity. Start with a simple hello—or kia ora. Ask questions, listen with intention, and stay open. That’s where true connection begins. Overall, it didn’t feel like a tour. Thanks to Louisa and Ama, it felt like coming home. We 100% recommend this cultural experience. Mahalo nui loa, Tan & Naveen

Don't miss this incredible tour - This tour gives insight into how Maori's have integrated into the urban environment around the Auckland area. Our guide, Ama, presented each aspect of the itinerary extremely well, as well as explaining the back story and history behind the urbanization of Maori land. We had visited villages in more rural areas, so this gave us a better understanding of city life

Highly recommend tour! - My husband and I enjoyed this tour. Our tour guide was Ama; she, being part of the Maori community, was very kind in sharing her knowledge and story with us. She was always very attentive, and we felt very comfortable throughout our tour with her. Every place we went to we learnt something new, the whole tour is very well thought out. If you're looking to learn about the Maori, specially in the context of Auckland, we'd highly recommend her. You'll also be supporting an amazing family business and community.
