Do not skip this tour from Parga! - We really enjoyed the day trip to Meteora monasteries. The story behind is breath taking and was told very clearly by our tour guide Yvonne. We would like to recommend taking this tour instead of self driving because it is a long journey and the roads can have hairpin turns. Our bus driver did an excellent job. The day was very well organized with enough stops for coffee and lunch. The only minor was the buffet restaurant where we stopped for lunch. There were no price tags and we were being served in a hurry. Food was moderate for a high amount of money.

Stunning place and great tour - Excellent trip, well organised great driver and brilliant guide. We visited 2 monasteries, both of which were beautiful and not too busy. The women's Monestry was particularly interesting as the nuns were happy to chat. It was a long day but definitely worth the journey to see such a special place. Personally I'd take a picnic as the lunch stop was not my kind of thing. It was an enormous place reminiscent of school lunches! I'd also prefer not to stop half way each way and go somewhere better for lunch where you could choose which restaurant to go to with the extra hour it would save... But others may disagree!

In Wonderland! - Magical experience! Like in a fairy tale country! Beautiful! Skillful travel manager! Comfortable bus and “fine” driving! Cozy coffee and toilet stops. The only negative was the place for lunch. A huge pasta local, unpleasant, lots of people and little good food! Typical stop for travel agencies, full of buses with tourists. Here is room for improvement!

Really worth seeing! - Meteora is fantastic and completely unique! The scenery alone is incredibly fascinating, but with the monasteries it becomes almost unreal. It is beautiful and thought-provoking and has an interesting story. We left late in September which probably contributed to that there were a little fewer people there. The tour was well organized and the guide Yvonne was nice and gave good information. She told us what we needed to know on the bus and then we had to walk around by ourselves in the monasteries, which was nice. We got good information about where you could not shoot or film. Many from other groups missed or ignored the ban and received sharp injunctions. The food stops (a coffee stop before Metora, lunch after Metora (at 14:00) and coffee stops again on the way home at the same place as at FM) are ok but not very charming. There is a focus on getting to and from Meteora, which is a good priority because the journey is long. We avoided queues at the lunch place but when we sat and ate the queues grew and became very long. If you want coffee after lunch, let us know when buying the rest of the food. Then you get a small plastic card that you hand in in exchange for coffee in a small cafe corner. The bus was comfortable, the driver drove nice and easy. Very satisfied and happy all three!

Beautiful monasteries! - A long ride in a comfortable bus with air conditioning but so worth it! We were allowed to enter 2 of the 6 monasteries and the views were amazing! A nice excursion! (For women, a skirt/dress or large pareo is a must. Shoulders and knees covered. Pants are not appreciated. You can borrow something at the entrance. Men are expected to wear trousers that are below the knees).

Stunning scenery - Yvonna the guide was brilliant, so engaging and knowledgeable, I learnt things about the whole area I didn’t know . She made sure we knew what to expect when there and how it worked and the time and place to meet back. The scenery is worth the trip on its own, unbelievable views, you get a chance for a photo stop. The trip is very long, it’s an 10-11 hour day so be prepared, take drinks and some snacks. You make 3 stops, two at the same service station, my tip is fill up on things on the way out because imo the lunch stop isn’t great, we just had a beer and used our supplies, it’s just a big canteen. For me, the only thing I would change is I would knock 10mins off each stop especially if they are not crowded, just so people can be back a bit earlier.
