Rolous Group & Angkor Wat
Prasat Bakong - Begin with a hotel pick-up and transfer to explore Bakong, constructed in the late ninth century (881) by King Indravarman I, dedicated to Shiva (Hindu).
Prasat Prei Monti - Continue to Prei Monti, built in the late ninth century (879) for the king’s parents, maternal grandparents, and a former king, Jayavarman II, and his wife, reflecting the Prah Ko style of art.
Roluos Temples - Proceed to Lolei, built on an islet in the center of a large reservoir (now rice fields) by Yasovarman I, the founder of the first city at Angkor.
Angkor Wat - Then, visit Angkor Wat, initially a Hindu and later a Buddhist temple complex in Cambodia, and the largest religious monument globally. Constructed by the Khmer King Suryavarman II in the early 12th century in Yasodharapura (present-day Angkor), the capital of the Khmer Empire, it served as his state temple and eventual mausoleum. Unlike previous kings who followed Shaivism, Angkor Wat was dedicated to Vishnu. As the best-preserved temple at the site, it has remained a significant religious center since its inception. The temple epitomizes the high classical style of Khmer architecture and is a symbol of Cambodia, featured on its national flag.
Banteay Srey- Preh Khan
Banteay Srei - Begin with a transfer to Banteay Srei, renowned for its exquisite delicate carvings in warm pink sandstone. This late 10th-century structure is compact and distinct from other Angkorian temples.
Banteay Samre - Next, explore Banteay Samre, a larger temple often overlooked by tourists, yet stunning in appearance.
Neak Pean - Then, visit Neak Pean Temple, a small island temple located in the middle of the last baray (the Preah Khan Baray or Jayatataka) constructed by a Khmer king in the Angkor area. The central temple is positioned at the axis of a cross or lotus pattern of eight pools.
Preah Khan - Explore Preah Khan Temple, a vast, highly explorable monastic complex. It originally functioned as a Buddhist monastery and school, accommodating over 1000 monks.
Angkor Thom City & Taprohm
Angkor Thom South Gate - Begin with a transfer to the South Gate of Angkor Thom. On the left side of the moat, 54 ‘devas’ (guardian gods) pull the head of the snake ‘Shesha,’ while on the right side, 54 ‘asuras’ (demon gods) pull the snake’s tail in the opposite direction.
Bayon Temple - The Bayon Temple, with over 200 large faces carved on its 54 towers, exudes a majestic character. The bas-reliefs depict everyday life scenes such as markets, fishing, festivals with cockfights and jugglers, and historical scenes with battles and processions.
Baphuon Temple - Baphuon, constructed in the middle of the 11th century (1060) by King Udayadityavarman II, is dedicated to Shiva (Hindu).
Phimeanakas - Phimeanakas, built in the late tenth century to the early 11th century by King Jayavamen V and Udayadityavarman I, is dedicated to Hinduism.
Terrace of the Elephants - Observe numerous elephant images adorning the walls.
Terrace of the Leper King - The site where former kings during the Angkorian Period received treatment.
Ta Prohm Temple - Ta Prohm (The Ancestor Brahma, Jungle Temple), enveloped in dense jungle, exudes an ethereal and romantic aura. Fig, banyan, and kapok trees extend their massive roots over stones, displacing walls and terraces, while their branches and leaves form a canopy over the structures. Tree trunks entwine among stone pillars.
Tonle Sap & City Tour
Tonle Sap Lake - Begin with a transfer to Tonle Sap Lake, visiting the floating village known as Chong Kneas. Then, take a boat to experience the authentic lifestyle of three communities: Cambodian, Cham, and Vietnamese.
Artisans Angkor - Visit Les Artisan D’Angkor, a fine art school and workshop for wood and stone carving, lacquering, silver plating, silk painting, and the old market area. Return to the hotel and drop off.
