- Prague Castle - Prague Castle has served as the residence for Czech kings and later presidents, standing as a significant emblem of the Czech state for over a millennium. This vast complex, one of the largest globally, includes historical palaces, offices, churches, fortifications, gardens, the magnificent Gothic Cathedral of Saint Vitus, and numerous picturesque spots, spanning 45 hectares. The panoramic view of Prague Castle is among the world’s most breathtaking. During the tour, visitors will stroll through the castle’s courtyards, access some free areas, though not all interiors will be visited (1/4 of the cathedral is typically accessible for free, and Golden Lane is free after 17:00). Visitors can choose to add extras to extend the tour or explore the interiors independently later.
- Little Quarter Bridge Tower - This valuable late Gothic entrance gate to the renowned bridge features rich Gothic sculptural decorations, including gargoyles, beasts, and even a protective witch.
- Nerudova Street - This delightful street is lined with ancient burgher houses, now mostly converted into charming hotels, restaurants, and small shops. Part of Prague’s Royal Way, Nerudova is named after the 19th-century Czech writer and journalist Jan Neruda. It is a “must-see” location in Prague. Enjoy the romantic house signs above the main doors, such as At the Two Suns, Three Little Fiddles, and At the Turnip.
- Charles Bridge - Visitors will stroll across Prague’s oldest bridge, the Charles Bridge, adorned with 30 picturesque statues and the most beautiful Gothic bridge tower in Europe. The bridge, standing since 1357, is said to have been built with eggs mixed into the mortar. Touching the magical five-star sign allows visitors to make a wish, with the saints’ power aiding them. Here, one can truly absorb the essence of Prague and step back into the era of golden Prague. It’s very romantic! Some may recognize the scenery from the first Mission Impossible movie. Near the bridge, visitors can also explore the area known as Prague Venice, with the side channel called Devil Stream and the famous painted anti-communist John Lennon Wall. At the bridge’s end, the gigantic Klementinum, a former Jesuit College now serving as the National Library, can be seen.
- Klementinum - The expansive grounds of the Klementinum rank as the third-largest Jesuit college worldwide, built between the 16th and 18th centuries in the Baroque style. Its Astronomical Tower has been collecting meteorological data since 1775. The Baroque Library, with its stunning frescoes and historically significant globes, is the complex’s most beautiful hall. The Mirror Chapel, with its intricately designed interior and unique mirror installation, regularly hosts classical music concerts. Visitors can choose to add extras to extend the basic tour or explore the interiors independently.
- Staromestske Namesti - Walking through the oldest streets leads to the enchanting Old Town Square, a 3D textbook of various architectural styles. The square features many significant sights: the baroque, cake-like St. Nicholas Church, the Kinský Palace with the city’s finest rococo facade, the gothic House at the Stone Bell, the spiky-topped Church of Týn, and more. The square is dominated by the Jan Hus Statue and the Old Town Hall (damaged by Nazis in WWII). Everyone is amazed by the truly remarkable Astronomical Clock with its hourly show, featuring 12 apostles appearing in two windows and a skeleton ringing the bell.
- Obecni Dum - The most stunning Art Nouveau building in Prague, the Municipal House facade is an eye-catching monumental architectural composition. Monumental allegorical figures, created by some of the greatest local artists, are displayed all over the building’s facade. Anthropomorphic sculptures are accompanied by decor featuring Art Nouveau floral ornaments and other classical architectural elements. This civic building houses Smetana Hall, a renowned concert venue where the Prague Spring festival is held.
