Prague Castle Tour: Discover History, Local Cuisine & Specialty Beers

Embark on a Prague Castle Tour and discover the city’s rich history, indulge in local cuisine, and savor specialty beers. Explore hidden gems and iconic landmarks with our small group tours!

Duration: 4 hours
Cancellation: 1 day learn more
Highlights
  • Lesser Town - ON THIS TOUR: As part of a small group, you get up hill by a tram, hear the Czech history intro to get a context, then you can enjoy a “welcome” special local monastery beer (or other drink).

We will make stops along the way and show you the more hidden parts away from souvenirs and crowds, as well as the high-profile sights such as Charles Bridge, Prague Castle or John Lennon Wall.

In 2/3 of the tour, you will sit around table and taste samples of the traditional Czech cuisine.

The idea for this concept was: “Let’s say you only have 1 day to spend in Prague, what would be the best possible activity to do, to learn about the city history, today’s life and culture?”

We also provide you with our guidebook - where we like to eat and drink, what are our favorite parts of Prague.

What's Included
  • Local cuisine tasting (with a vegetarian option) - 1 stop
  • Free taste of local beers (2x), with options of other drinks, non-alcohol refreshments
  • Tram ticket
  • Our valuable guidebook with recommendations

We conduct city tours the way we like, guiding small parties through immersive encounters bustling with unplanned joy and local escapades. Finally, we’ll provide you with all the suggestions you require to turn every minute in Prague into a memorable experience!

Discover two captivating quarters, Lesser Town and Hradcany, which are home to many of Prague’s government residences and foreign missions. On this distinctive course you’ll encounter internationally acclaimed landmarks including Prague Castle, Strahov Monastery and Charles Bridge. We’ll also guide you to the concealed “New World” district, the transformative John Lennon Wall, and the city’s most scenic viewpoints.

  • Please note: Tripadvisor shows us in the Food & Drink category, but do not expect only-food tour, there will be one “Czech tapas” food tasting stop (medium size lunch / dinner portion)
  • We do a chill-paced 4-5km walk on cobblestones, so please wear comfortable shoes.
  • Please note, to avoid later confusion: this is not a classic food tour, it is our signature mix of a city walking tour with local beer / drinks (two stops) and one food tasting stop.

Great for all age groups, but even better if you can drink beer! - Great tour and nice guys that really make their guided tour the best. Much better experience than the common big group guided tours. They've really thought out the experience for each person - they're attentive and generally just very enjoyable guys.

Fantastic Tours and Experience! - Our first time to Prague and we signed up for both the Castle Side (Ondra) and Old Town Road (Jakub) on our first 2 days. Both tours were fantastic and showed us parts of Prague that we would have never known were there! They were both engaging with our small groups and we all had a blast. Best part of our trip and would highly recommend them and both of these tours!

Best tour guide in Prague! - Great guide! Ondra was amazing! Very knowledgeable, friendly and funny too! Felt like walking around with an old friend and nothing better on a tour than a visit to the Brewery and a feast of local foods at the end of the tour. The food was amazing! Joe-U.S.

Learned of Prague history and local culture on a lovely walk - Andrew has obviously thought out the route and details carefully. We were afraid he was taking us places we’d already been and instead were treated to hidden gems only a local would know. Really appreciated his effort to talk to everyone in our small group.

Prague "local" walk - If you are looking for a youthful, dynamic and pleasant tour of Prague, come to them. After a short meeting at the meeting point we leave with the young guide who, with fluent and understandable English, will tell you the most interesting things without ever resulting in boredom. The most important thing is that with these guides you will not beat the usual super tourist destinations and streets, you will often walk in local and less touristy streets. The tour includes everything, even the tram tickets that you take to go up to the upper part of the castle. Beer offered at the monastery and then we continue walking and chatting. Lunch with local foods included. 3 hours flew by with great pleasure. Absolutely recommended. English If you are looking for a dynamic and pleasant tour of Prague, come to them. Phenomenal tour to see the highlights while learning the local culture and hot spots! - Jacob was an incredible guide! He gave a great recount of history in some hidden locations. He did a phenomenal job of showing us the highlights of Prague while incorporating local hang outs that provided great food and drinks. Jacob even left us with a list of places to eat and visit while on our own in the city. Cannot recommend this tour enough! Great experience!

This tour is a must. - Not your typical tour at all, small group. Being talked to and interacted with by Jacob the guide like friends not customers, saw some great sights off the beaten path and heard a lot about culture and history without being boring at all. The beer in the monastery was a great way to start and the food in the local restaurant was fantastic. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to know more about the city without being killed by typical tour boredom.

Eat, Drink and be happy in Prague - Jakob took us on a tour of the Castle side of Prague and we enjoyed exploring some “off the beaten path” quieter areas. The food and drink stops were in lovely settings and the food was great. Very informative guide and also very personable. We had a good time and learned a lot about Czech history and culture.
