Well Worth the Price and Great Way to See the Mountains and Villages - We had Kostos as a guide. Great personality and knowledgeable. Riding up the mountainside was great, stop for snacks in a small village, see goats and sheep, and stop for lunch. Well worth the day. One con was that Kostos missed several key potholes; his driving was too good for the road.

Nobody should miss this tour - get to know Crete differently - Such a great tour! We were able to explore so many great corners and primordial places of Crete and our driver was super friendly and could provide us with great knowledge of the island:) With 8 people in the Land Rover plus driver it all still works very well, even in the "trunk" we could still see everything well and we had a lot of fun on the sometimes a bit adventurous to drive the route! But a Land Rover like that can do a lot of things. We can absolutely recommend it and would join the ride again, maybe next time another tour to explore new places:) Definitely well invested it money, we had a great day:) Ohso and the lunch was absolutely great! Despite restrictions (vegetarian + gluten free) I absolutely got my money's worth, it would be really great consideration and it tasted really delicious!

Amazing Trip Into the Interior of Crete. - Highest compliments to Safari Club for an amazing trip into the interior of Crete. Our driver, George, was an amazing guide and driver. He showed us the other Crete, far from the tourist spots along the coast. The coastal spots are justly proud of their beauty and history. The interior of Crete is a vision to behold. The topography is stunning. We got to meet a shepherd who makes goat cheese the traditional way, and we got to meet his goats. We saw a tree in Krasi frequented by writers like Niko Kazantzskis. And we got a history lesson on the struggles of the local inhabitants to simply live their lives. George was a wealth of knowledge on the various local views and customs when queried about a local spot. The off-roading was awesome. This trip was exactly what I was hoping for and more.

A Tour you don't want to miss! - We booked this trip for October 9, 2024. We learned shortly before arriving in Greece the Cave of Zeus tour was closed, however, our guide Kosta more than made up for it! We were picked up first, so from the very beginning he regaled us with his knowledge and history of his home; little nuggets of information that gave us a better understanding of Crete's rich history. The island has so many hidden gems. We loved the random stops to see nuts, fruit, vegetables, even seasoning growing along the road. Feed the goats! We thoroughly enjoyed the fresh food and drinks served at lunch. They waste NOTHING, even leftover lunch was put to good use. Thank you for a memorable visit to the beautiful island of Crete. Highly recommend this tour for couples, families, and groups! You won't be disappointed. NOTE: if you're a taller person (above 6"): it can be a tight fit for the day in the jeep. Still fun, but if a full tour - tight!

Safari fun - This has been one of my favourite excursions whilst on holiday. I enjoyed learning about Crete culture, and our guide was a natural, very informative and friendly. The views from the top of the mountain were amazing and we loved the cave, it nearly kills your walking up to it in the heat but its worth it. The oldest tree was lovely too and the guide was happy to take photos. I learned so much that day and feel the safari is worth the cost 100%. The lunch was also nice and you get to try some local cheese and olive oil. We went for the air conditioned vehicle rather the land rover as it was around 38 degrees that day.

Amazing day on the Minoan Route with Darrel - Amazing tour on the Minoan Route with our guide, Darrel. We had a great time with Darrel who is very knowledgeable, answered any questions we had and made the whole tour such a fun day. The views on top of the mountains were spectacular. The villages we stopped at along the way, as well as the taverna lunch, were incredible. A fantastic trip we look forward to experiencing again!

A beautiful day! - Together with our boys (12 and 14 yrs) we went on safari with Ruud 1 in the Vito 4wd. We've seen a lot, from olive press factory to cheese tasting with a shepherd up in the mountains (and much more). Ruud knew a lot so also heard a lot about the history of the island which has made this day one of the highlights of our holiday. Highly recommended!

Full day land-rover safari with lunch. - Great day , Darrell was our driver , very knowledgeable about Crete , made our day real fun , had our 14 and 16 Yr old grandsons with and even they enjoyed the experience. Darrell took some fun family photos of each family treasured memories. We stopped for lunch at a local Taverna the food was fabulous and plenty of it with friendly locals .Would thoroughly recommend the trip get to see a lot and hear fascinating facts about Crete.

Safari to do without hesitation 🤘🏼 - Great day with Adeline and Panayotis (hope the spelling is right). To start visiting an agricultural cooperative on how to make olive oil. Then superb little visit in a goat farm at 1000m altitude. We were able to taste cheese and raki. Then Cretan lunch in a beautiful place where he makes soap, oil, terracotta objects etc... The meal was very, very good. Then on the way back, some stops to see the beautiful landscape that surrounded us. Adeline told us a lot about the ridge. She is an exceptional guide and comes from a town not far from us in France 🤘🏼. Panayotis is a great driver, we even had the right to the breakdown 😂😂😂. A little anecdote that doesn't spoil the day. Really beautiful day. I strongly advise holidaymakers to do it 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🏼👍🏼. Thank you Adeline and Panayotis 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
