Above and beyond - Our guides were extremely accommodating and made sure we saw dolphins in the harbor, toured the island - the amount of birds was incredible! They even took us to a cacao plantation afterward on the way home where we were able to see the process in which cacao is produced and even drank some of their local cacao drink that was more like a slushee. They went out of their way to ensure we had a great day.

Great tour of the bay w/ dolphins and crab lunch - Such a great tour! Yamil and Simon were so helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. They even sent us photos of the group, animals on the tour, and candid shots. We were able to see dolphins and many different species of birds. Fun tour for kids and adults interested in nature.

Lots to see and learn - We had a great day on the mangrove tour with Simon and Yamil. Simon picked us up at our hotel and told us about the city of Guayaquil and Ecuador as we drove out of the city. It was a delightful trip to Puerto Morro about an hour from Guayaquil. Once on the boat ride, learned about fishing on the river, the mangroves, and the lovely birds. The dolphins were amazing. They popped up from the water, swam and played around the boat. We returned to Puerto Morro and had lunch at a local restaurant. We feasted on ceviche, fresh crab that Yamil ordered for us and plantains. It was a feast! We had to cut the tour a little short because we had to be back in Guayaquil for another tour. Simon and Yamil accommodated our needs. They also responded to my inquiries and were perfect hosts. If you have a chance, book this tour. You will not be disappointed.

I recommend it, it was magnificent. - Me and my 16 year old son absolutely loved doing this tour and would recommend it to ANYONE wanting to have an experience in Guayaquil and wanting to see animals without spending a fortune to go to the Galapagos. Our guide was awesome - super-friendly, helpful, considerate and extremely knowledgeable. I love Guayaquil and in my opinion, the media makes us see this city much darker than it is. Downtown Guayaquil has many many places to visit, there anyone can spend two days seeing so many beautiful tourist attractions, which make you feel like you haven't seen enough. thanks again

Excellent - Since they picked me up at my hotel it was a very good experience... They gave me a totally personalized service, Yamil taught me the ecosystem and the importance of the mangroves, then they took me to the bird island where I could see a great diversity of boobies, herons, frigatebirds, roseate spoonbills, something totally fascinating. The truth is that I had a wonderful day and then to end the day well they gave me a delicious fish ceviche. I recommend this experience 100%, it is an excellent option for your time in Guayaquil.

Fun trip - We spend a wonderful day touring Porto morro and a boat riding to this bird island. Our guide Simon and Yamil are amazing. On the way back, they took us to a private ranch for a late lunch and it was a quite interesting experience as well. Strongly recommend this trip!

Wonder Tour, Bird Island out of Guayaquil - We had an informative and wonderful tour out of Guayaquil, to see the dolphins and an amazing amount of frigate birds on an island. Added enjoyment was driving through the Ecuadorian countryside and seeing a fishing town. Simon Penafiel and Yamil Saman gave an excellent tour. Also, our cruise ship was not helpful at all with accurate disembarking directions - and Simon and Yamil were very helpful and diligent in keeping up with the changes via WhatsApp.

Great tour. Language issues... - I give 5 stars for the trip itself. Our guide, Simon, was incredible- his knowledge base was deep, he listened to our questions with respect and gave detailed answers. He is fluent in both Spanish and English. The trip through a saltwater estuary lined by mangrove forests was amazing. We saw lots of birds, saw the ripples caused by the catfish that inhabit the waters and saw a crocodile or two as we slowly traveled up and down the estuary. The booking website is an issue. We were forced to make a reservation for 4 adults and 2 children even though we did not plan to bring any children with us. Despite numerous messages back and forth the tour operator never quite understood that there were no children on our tour. When I asked for a refund for the cost of the (non-existent) children- he refused. That was disappointing (as well as expensive) which is why I give a rating of 4 stars.
